New Multifirmware!!

Ugh ffs it has an error openng the usb port,i thought it was just a bad rom!Now i aint got a gp32!!!!!Looks like ill not get pissed with my friends ill have to save the money for a card writer!Any other ways? It takes the piss that does,Ive never flashed it b4 now ive gotta risk it again aswell!

i think this is a serious post (the smiley is a bit misplaced)

but try writing pclink.fxe to your SMC (youll have to try, until your PC recognizes the GP). This prog will let you write files bigger than 256k onto your SMC (a new firmware for example) i recommend you Mr.Spivs multifw2, since its a good one.

well, i guess your using win xp, right? Do you have acces to a win 98 PC? if so try to transfer it from that PC. Otherwise, just keep on trying (i got it to work on WinXP, too(after several time off replugin))

Jesus christ that was sooooo lucky i used a digital camera to rewrite my smc,Lucky it was smc! Also i found a 16mb smc !!So it was good what i got out of it and thanx i reflashed the the mr.spiv firmware absolutely excellent,If i set one of the firmware to default could i later change it?

Thankyou i am having problems with the windups firmware wher i cannot save my desktop neither can I have icons for the progs. Can anyone help?

you must install the windups.fpk pakage. It creates the folders and files you need (it also creates a wind-ups.fxe file, but that one can be deleted)

I dont know if this helps people who installed dodgy firmware, but on gp32spain.com they have "mass storage" drivers for the GP32 (I guess turning it into some kind of remote hard disk). Would it possible to use this to copy the firmware across that way??

I don't know if this would work, but I'm just trying to help those people out there who have knackered GP32s

Yo thanx,You seem extremely knowledgeable seeing as you are still pretty much new to this board with 17 posts.
well, i onformed me for about 2 weeks, because it had to wait until the GP32 arrived (it arrived wednesday). So i read many sites regarding the topic of firmware and stuff. I also took my knowledge from my GBA with a nifty flashcart.
