Post Your Handheld Collections!!

Here's my relatively limited collection.

Yes I know my Pink GBA is sexy. :p

g4m3r: What catched my eye is the DS, where did you get the skin from?

huh? what's that? You're asking about my collection? Well, It doesn't exist. Except for a 0% charged DS(that is probably not working) and the very first GameBoy B&W( that was taken away from me more than 8 years ago). So all this showcasing is just plain teasing me.  <_< <_<

BTW, I will soon be buying one of those handhelds, and wanted to know what would you recommend, a neo geo pocket color or a wonderswan color/swanpocket(whatever its called).

get a pocket color at better selection of english games. The wonderswans are pretty much 100% japanese and the games are near impossible to play.
That is not entirely true. It has quite a few games that are very playable. The Fighters are very good. "Pocket Fighter(to my knowledge the only handheld Pocket Fighter was released on)," Swan Coloseum with One Piece. Guilty Gear 1 &2, Puyu Puyu, Puzzle Bobble. If you have ever played Klonoa, it is easy to pick up. Most of the Digimon games are easy to play. But again I am speaking of fighters and puzzle games. Klonoa is platform and there are a few others. Anything that would require reading would be difficult. I have a couple of the Gundam games but I feel like I am missing half of the game because I can't read the story element. It also has a couple of games where you mash buttons to the beat of the music. But knowing what to look for and knowing what you are getting is where the difficultly lies when collecting the Swancrystal stuff.

But I would also recommend the Neo Pocket color over the Swancrystal. The games would be cheaper and easier to find. And it is easier knowing what you are getting whenever you are looking for the games. The Neo Geo fighters on the Pocket color are the best on a handheld IMO. The directional pad on the Pocket rocks and is perfect for the fighters. The system, to me, is worth having just for the Metal Slug 1&2 games. :)

But if you collect this sort of thing, sooner or later you will probably end up with both. :)

well, before this post I was oblivious to the fact that the swan has some playable games. I'll have a look around for a few on ebay :)

Here is a small list of my games, To the best of my understanding these are the titles.
Digimon (You will find that the Digimon games to be better that the ones on GBA)
Battle Spirit: Digimon Tamers
Battle Spirit 1.5
Digimon 02
Battle Spirits: Digimon Frontier
Digimon “Veedramon Version” contains 2 RPG games in English!!!!

SD Gundam Operation U.C. (playable in the “I love Chibi Gundam” hack slash dodge shoot, repeat, sort of way)
Gundam Seed (this is the one that you need to know Japanese, very good shooting elements in game, but it is built around the story)

Fighters
Guilty Gear Petit 1 and 2
One Piece “Swan Colosseum”
Pocket Gem Fighters

Puzzle
Puzzle Bobble
Puyo Puyo 2
Magical Drop

Platform
Kaze No Klonoa

“Push Button to the Beat” platform.
Rhyme Rider Kerorican

I have Final Fantasy II but it is in Japanese. I have downloaded the English translation and played it on an emu on my computer and the Swancrystal at the same time. I have found that the English version on the Gameboy was a dumbed down story. <_< I guess a phrase like, "he has blood all over him, he might die" is a little too much for us.

The system mostly had RPGs in Japanese, unfortunately. There are other games out there other than these. It is mostly hit and miss when buying for this system. I have searched net for someone putting up a list of the ones that an english speaking person could play and have always came up empty handed.

Well you've persuaded me enough, I'll definitly be on the lookout for one. It's probably the nicest looking (hardware-wise) out of all of them, in my own, deeply honest and slightly personal, opinion.

Oh well that's just beautiful.
No sarcasm intended here, but how many GameBoys do you own now?
limited? 3 GB lights and this famitsu pocket.

I do have more of these in the same factory mint condition if you're interested. One is on ebay, and i have like 10 watchers so it'll probably reach at least 80 USD B)

Sorry 'bout the bumping here, but I just got two more off eBay, thought I should list them. Nothing special, but they're additions none the less.

-GP32 + 128mb SD + Carry case + Mains adapter
£40! Pretty schweet, been wanting one since they first came out, but by the time i had enough money the 2X was out. Got one now though.

-QuickShot SuperVision with 6 games (Pac Boy, Police Bust, Block Buster, Linear Racing, P52 Battle, Crystball)
£17.16. Decent price for a system I hardly know anything about other than it's older than the GameGear.

This leaves my "collection" as thus:

GP2X
GP32
GBA SP Classic NES Edition
Nintendo DS Lite
NeoGeo Pocket Color
game.com
GameKing
GameGear (x2)
Game Boy
QuickShot SuperVision

Yay!

Bump! Bump! Bump!
Having already posted a pic earlier in this thread of my collection that includes, GB (pea green screen), GB color, GB Pocket, GBA, GB sp, DS, GameGear, Sega Nomad, Neo Pocket Color, SwanCrystal, Atari Lynx, Turbo Express, GP32 NLU and BLU, GP2X, Vg Pocket 50, Vg Pocket Max, Donkey Kong Jr. (Game & Watch).

This week I added three more handhelds to that list!
3new_1.jpg

That's a GameKing II, Pokemon mini, and a Game.com. Great additions to my collection of fun! I also picked up few games, "Zero Wing" for the Nomad, "Buffers Evolution" for the SwanCrystal, and "Faselei!" for the Neo Pocket Color.

cool :D I still have to add a gameking to my collection, but it seems as though I can't find that happy medium between actually finding one on ebay, and having money to buy it .

I still have 3 famitsu model F units available from the 8 I had to begin with if anyone's interested. They're 100% factory mint, and include the box and all paperwork. $80 + shipping :)

Damn you Gameking!
