well at they sayed below gp32 at wich they are currently selling for 99.99gbp.
I think they meant the original price. 99.99 is a "SALE" price.

I payed 150€ for my brand new GP32, with postage from HK. So I expect it to go under that.

Unless they are referring to the launch price of GP32... :( How much was that?

Aaaaand... Anyone know if the linux-based emulators are any good?

i paid about 230 GBP back in 2001 for my NLU and about 75 for 2 games.

I'm pretty sure the last price on gbax before it went discount was 110GBP + VAT so that comes out at 129.25. I'd expect the new one to come in around 115-120 GBP.

Expected price is around $170 and there shouldn't be any dead pixel problem since it will be using the same screen as the current Gp32.

This is pissing me off.

DaveC is going round stating for a fact that there will be no emulators available for this system at launch.
GBAX and GPX2.com claim the exact opposite- "numerous" and "abundance" respectively.

Craig- claim to explain what you mean by "numerous emulators"?

If you people dont know what you say is fact, dont say it as if it is.

fot that price its bought :)
Yep thats not bad at all, as long as enough devs take it up and the ninja does not get released then I will probably too.

Hi Bells!

I'm suprised noone is excited about this thing running on linux

There are lots of emu's that run on linux which is probably what GPH are refering to in the advertising on there site.

This might seem irrelevant at first but....

I've been getting into mame on the PC lately and have been looking at building my own box.

As I want to spend the least possible on this thing I want to get the most for my money.

Now consider the following in terms of performance

-----------------------------------------------
Windows/Mame32: With Gamepad Without Gamepad
SmashTV 12 fps 18 fps
PuzzLoop 8 fps 12 fps
-----------------------------------------------
Linux/xmame: With Gamepad Without Gamepad
SmashTV 51 fps 51 fps
PuzzLoop 35 fps 35 fps

These results are from the same hardware

more details on here http://www.mameworld.net/c0pil0t/xmame.html

I think the linux based gpx2 thing will be better than alot of people think(ones who look at Mhz alone)

*
on a side note someone give DaveC his medication :D

we have administered davec his happy juice, should see him through the night. If not, any of you guys across the atlantic can take care of him.

Hey, anyone thought that maybe it's out Oct so GPH can give away units now to several key emu developers, so that in Oct it'll ship with them already available? :)

I think the anti-this console argument loses a lot in terms of credibility because DaveC has found a way to criticise incredibly:
GBA: "LOL RESOLUTION LOL"
Zodiac: "LOL ANALOG LOL"
DS: "LOL RESOLUTION LOL"
PSP: "LOL DIAGONALS WTF AND ALSO NO WAY WIDESCREEN LOL"
Gizmondo: "HAHA STUPID"
Palm: "NICE POWER SHAME ABOUT THE CONTRLOLS"
GP32: "LOL AS IF THERE'S NO SOUND ON SNES WHAT IS THE POINT?????"
and nobody listened.

i for one think that this handheld is going to blow so many people away when they see what it is capable of.

And i can't wait to see davec have to eat his own words when he is proved wrong. Will he ever be able to show his face once everyone else is reaping the rewards of the gpx2???

Yeah, I am going to really be blown away with a 200 MHz CPU and no emulators.

I had a Zodiac with these specs and better years ago (200 MHz 2D GPU). It blew me away so much that I sold it ;)
