What this is saying is the number of cases reported have a strong tendency to decrease on Mondays compared to Sundays. I'm just quantifying @JDTAY's observations.

I should note too, @netcat is adjusting for the fact that each day's numbers are reported the following day. That's why he says the lowest reports are for Mondays, whereas I say the lowest reports happen on Tuesdays. They do happen on Tuesday in India and where I'm at, but just after midnight where I'm at. That would mean India's Monday numbers actually come in on Monday for the US west coast.

Anyway, can't wait to be up again in another eight hours to see the latest.

Good luck with that. I plan to wait for a more traditional vaccine, which is said to hit the market in Q4'21 coming from France, iirc.
AstraZeneca and Johnson&Johnson (and maybe also Sputnik V) are traditional vaccine.
But if you have more trust in France, then do that.

Sputnik V is a traditionnal vaccine (but not yet ready). the other 2 are not exactly that... At least they are somewhat efficient unlike the ARN-based one(s)

Doesn't sound like a long tradition to me. ;)

I can be more specific, though. I'm not trying a programme that makes my cells produce the learning samples, before I have somewhat of an idea of what the programming language in use is capable of. Since I haven't looked into this that much, yet, I know basically nothing in this regards.
If I'm offered a shot of plain inactivated samples, I'll stretch my arm out.
Or if I'll find myself urging to get vaccinated, before that is available, I'd do see that I get a good impression of how those new methods and the technology behind it work and reconsider.

Ah the french... how do you abreviate mRNA? ARNm or mARN?

And talking about efficiency have you looked up de effectivity of current vaccines for desceases like polio :D

I'm hearing that COVID-19 is starting to get bad in Nepal too. It's a small country, so they won't be posting the same numbers as India, but I hear their case rate is up to where India's was two weeks ago.

Well it's roughly quadrilateral and bounced on three sides by bits of India (and the other edge by China). Most people are involved in manual agriculture, but the most money comes from foreign tourists. I'm not sure how many Indians go to Nepal for tourist reasons, traditionally at least it was always rich westerners I heard about, but perhaps that's changed with the development of India.

Looks like it could be possible that the spike protein in covid, and also in the vaccine, could be the reason for the cell damage done and not the virus itself.

How does vaccine work: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/different-vaccines/mrna.html
A Closer Look at How COVID-19 mRNA Vaccines Work:
COVID-19 mRNA vaccines give instructions for our cells to make a harmless piece of what is called the “spike protein.” The spike protein is found on the surface of the virus that causes COVID-19.

What does the spike protein do: https://medicalxpress.com/news/2021-04-sars-cov-spike-protein-lung.html
Using a newly developed mouse model of acute lung injury, researchers found that exposure to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein alone was enough to induce COVID-19-like symptoms including severe inflammation of the lungs.

I assume the difference is that having covid continues the exposure to these spike proteins compared to the vaccine which you only get once in a small amount.

414,000 for India today, an increase of only 2000 over yesterday. Ties in very nicely with the narrative India's been pushing that cases would peak on the 7th.

Meanwhile, the WHO warns that Africa could be the next hotspot, in part due to vaccine hesitancy, but also because they just aren't getting enough vaccines.

As they get the Astra Ceneca Vaccine free for all in Germany now, whitout a Priority list, i think i will look for a Apointment now,
shure there is a small changse to get some issues, but on the other side, the issues you get whit Corona are maybe much worse..

And i dont want to get testet as i fear this Stick in the Nose might be much more anoying than the actual syringe..

At least it's just your nose (and throat).

You likely will still need tested, even if you have had the injection. My wife still needs to test twice a week to go to work.

Well, Germany plans to give Vacinated Peaple the same Rights than Testet, but its not fully clear..
actually i dont need a Test for Work, and i only go to the super Market or something..

This shouldnd sound like im against the testing or the whole corona protection conzept, but im happy when i dont need to be testet..
