After umming and arring i finally purchased a gamecube :D

Bored of pc gaming.. even though i got a pretty good spec pc even farcry in it all its gfx lovliness couldn't hold my attention anymore..

First console purchase in 9 years last one being a psone. PS2 and xbox held little interest for me being a pc owner (most of the big gamnes eg vice city etc u can get on the pc) dunno the gfx just look drab to me

So seeing a gamecube new going for £45 new i though why not! Diifferent 'fun' quality games, ok theres not a huge amount of games but hey quality over quantity..

... i love it haven't had so much fun gaming in ages...

with careful bargain shopping the whole lot has cost me less than £125 all items new by the way 6 games Mario Sunshine, Wave Race, Sega Soccer Slam, Beach spikers, Bloody Roar, pikmin an extra controller and the official Nintendo RGB cable. Casue quite frankly the lead that scart/ccomposite lead that comes with the console sucks... RGB all the way what a difference to the picture! Colours are so vivid!

Favourite game which im starngely addicted to at the moment is beach spikers and twas only £5 from gameplay including postage! Baragin! Better get back to another

As you can tell i'm well chuffed :D Game On!

yeah i think gaming is better on consoles.pc gaming is problematic unless your pc is the latest top spec model.pc codeing teams get lazy perhaps

dont know about gamecube though.but whatever floats your boat.

I love Beach Spikers (Virtua Beach Volleyball in other words)

I got it for a fiver last summer in MVC coz there was a sale and a pricing error, then once christmas had come i took it to Gamestation and they gave me £10 for it

Had my mates down and it was the most played games.. i really enjoy just playing againt the cpu, simple to pick up and play.

Kind of what i like the games on cube :) And it soo dinky :)

Only 2 negative points bout beach spikers

a) the music
B) why oh whty is there no big bouncing breasts option.. if one game ever justified this option, this is the game :D

F-Zero GX was amazing fun.

In my opinion, so was P.N.03. It had a lot of faults and level design was hardly inspiring, but the entire game was just so damned stylish and fun to play.

Holy monkey crap. I'm going to have to make my way to Picadilly Circus with my ultimate speed machine :)

Has anyone played the AX track (you have to win it) withthe meteor shower hitting the earth - that track gave me goose bumps. Its so friggin' amazing.

Other games worth mentioning: Resi Evil, True Crime, Eternal Darkness (this game WILL scare you), Soul Calibre 2 with Link, Rogue Squadron, Capcom vs SNK, etc.

There's some damn fine motion capture in that game ;) I do regret importing it, mind.

Good purchase with the GC...IMHO it's host to some of the best games of this generation.

Also, does anyone else think that some of the games are the best looking around? I compare Mario Sunshine to anything on the Xbox and I honestly think the GC comes out tops, or at least on a par.

at the moment I am fantasising over Rogue Squadron 3, its frigiin amazing grafix (and about 1 second of loading, brilliant)

Animal Crossing has to be up there if ure gonna import, i got it for £20 on Players choice from Import Madness

Oh and Donkey Konga, it's fun but the damned thing wont save

Do the graphics improve massively as you go along because I though they were fairly bland? Class system though. I got mine three weeks ago and as Mc Donalds keep ramming down out throats "I'm loving it!". So far I have Mario Kart Double Dash, Zelda Collection Pack, Zelda Wind Waker and Resident Evil.

Wayhay, good choice, Gamecube's the best by far! You must get your hands on Viewtiful Joe, Zelda Wind Waker, Metroid Prime and rent Luigi's Mansion (wicked but short).

Not as bland as Halo. They're bright, full of colour and the water effects are superb. So far, only Ninja Gaiden and Prince of Persia that I've played on Xbox have come close to beating out the likes of Mario on the GC (and one of those is based around a PS2 game).
