Wouldn't a Pandora kickstarter be a good idea?

You can't have a new edition or generally upgraded specs without a new case.

The current case has numerous issues, and is incompatible with the iCP2 keyboard (which is much better than the current one)
Really? An entirely new case?  That really poses a problem, I think.

How is the iCP2 keyboard better? I'm only aware of it being backlit.

^ Fair point.

The iCP2 keyboard will probably be better than the current one.

Agreed, anyhow, if they keep the case compatible it would save a lot of trouble and production costs... making it more plausible.

Much of the case (as well as keyboard) design has already been done for the iCP2.

This was deliberately to get a headstart on P2 development :)

A Kickstarter sounds like a good idea to fund pre-orders with its profits. Whether that's for a special edition P1 (perhaps in red & black) or a P2.

Failing that, perhaps a way to raise the money is to sell a portion of the Pandora company.

IF Craig doesn't want anything to do with Pandora anymore(again if).  Then possibly this paves the way to having just one Pandora company run by ED.  Perhaps a 50% stake in the one Pandora company could be offered to raise $300,000 which would be to buy out Craigs company and be used to clear the pre-orders. That way there would only be one company run by ED with no pre-order shackles.

Just change the name, the motherboard, and the screen, and I will be happy to give you 500~600~700 Euro for this new adequate modern device.

If this happens, I am pretty sure that a new KS fund record will be set.

This might be something of interest compared to a Kickstarter.   I don't know if it'll be doable in Germany.

Could probably get something on IndieGoGo for a project like the new case, not really sure of the specifics with them.

Actually I agree with the comment that the next Pandora shouldn't be called Pandora. I'll go further and say a new company should be set up .  I can't see a Pandora 2 going down well on a Kickstarter.

A whole new fresh start is needed IMO.
