I would never recommend anybody ever run win95, nevermind EMULATING it on a handheld. That would be one super shite computing experience. If you want to use the GP2X as a computer I'd wait for someone to port pdaxrom or Openembedded.

That's fantastic for you, but I and I'm sure others would enjoy a functioning port of Dosbox. I too have an old laptop for gaming, (120mhz pentium) but I would prefer have my DOS games available to take with me on my GP2X. (Yes, I know the laptop is portable too, but not as portable)

I used to download anime on 33k dial up and watch it, it was the computer i first watched matrix on aswell
I've got 98 Lite from LitePc it can cut down 98 to around 50mb boots up on my pentium 4 laptop almost instanstaneously
the specs on the site say itll take 19 secs on k6-400 with 32mb ram
you reckon i could shave some time off that six and a half bootup time?
Emu&Co posted on May 11 2006 at 09:12 AM said:Bochs emulates the WHOLE PC with CPU, etc..... Qemu sends the stuff to the Host System's CPU and thats it. You will NEVER be able to use Windows 95 in a usable speed on GP2X, because you can't send X86 Stuff to a ARM CPU. You need Bochs to let it do something. So forget it.
