Which Version Of Another World Will You Run?

I don't see it being too similar. It's a point-n-click adventure.

Great game though, no doubt.

What about Project Firestart on the C64, would that qualify? There's no platforms but it's definitely one of the first cinematic action/adventure games.

The joke that was my childhood loyalty to Sierra On-line and my old Apple IIgs continues to sting. That looks really great. Never too late for a Pandorian to make up for lost time, though!

I'll see what I can find out about getting suitable permission to do an official release of Another World on the OpenPandora based on the code that was used for the GP32 release back in the day - http://www.distant-earth.co.uk/awgp32/.
That was based on the RAW interpreter written by Gregory Montoir and we got the kind permission of Eric Chahi to do the release complete with the game data :D .

As for Heart of the Alien, it was a poor sequel (if you can even call it that, hardly something the original developers wanted). That said, I'll try and get some time to tidy up a quick port of http://hota.sourceforge.net/ I did for the Pandora ages ago (well over a year I guess) and turn it into a PND. You will need the data files from the SegaCD release to be able to play it.

Beneath a Steel Sky is similar to Another World in game play. Awesome game.
Not denying its awesomeness here, but those games are in no way similar. One's a point-and-click adventure, the other is, thanks to Phawx we now know, a cinematic platformer.

That is unquestionably awesome and generous of you. Which version of the data files would it use?

So who is keeping a master list of these types of games?

I'd be happy to. Where should we actually store the list so it's accessible?

That would be great as these are my fav type of games along with pretty much all ScummVM games,

We should start a new thread for it and just update the #1 post as people suggest ones to add
