Oh boy, here we go again. JXD just released the new JXD V5200. It has totally different specs than the previous devices. The main selling points appear to be the 5" 800x480 two-point-touch screen, HDMI output and "wifi direct" which allows you to play directly with other people in the area running a V5200, without a wifi network (not likely to ever be useful since the thing will probably be replaced with a new model within a month or two).

Sadly, the specs are actually inferior to the S601 and Yinlips G16 and G18...
A no-name SOC with an outdated PowerVR SGX531 GPU and only 256Mb of RAM.
Oh well... I've been tinkering with my HP Touchpad running Android 4.0.4 and its an excellent emulation machine, its just a hassle to get a real (non touch screen) controller hooked up to it. This will hold me over for quite some time though, which should give these manufacturers plenty of time to put out a device that has good specs, a high res screen under 5" (I want to be able to carry it in my pocket), HDMI, USB host and whatever else they can come up with.
