Actually, in your video it DOES have the sound problems found on other emulators. Basically, certain sounds "stick" and drag out for a few seconds rather than playing normally.

I looked on YouTube and found a couple of gameplay videos and they too had this problem! Apparently not all emulators handle this game all that well... SuperGNES apparently does, and I don't recall ever having any issues with ZSNES when I last played it on PC several years ago. After doing a little bit of research, it appears that Snes9x had this issue in this game up until version 1.52 or 1.53, so if the emulator is based on an older version of Snes9x, it'll have this messed up sound... which is why its so prevalent. Its too bad, the game has excellent sound.

If you have access to the Android Market (Google Play) can you try running the game with SuperGNES to see if the sound improves?

Hard to tell if it also got a soundlag like the G18.
It looks okay if you look at fruit ninja.

Is the G16 allready rooted like the Yinlips 2.3.4?

Yep, that's normal! Aside from the sound lag, it looks to be running really well and that's exactly how the original game sounded on the SNES.

Thank you so much for the input! =)

I've tested it on my caanoo with pocketsnes 7.2.0 and set on compatible.
Also sounds that drag for a few seconds.

Not sure if it is but could do it in seconds with unlock root lol - this console has 2 point touch!

Yep, that's it! Like I said, that seems to be related to the version of Snes9x that is being used for these handheld ports. They need to use newer, updated versions to fix these issues, or use other emulators entirely. So, theoretically, if someone had the time and interest, this could be fixed on the Caanoo by porting a newer build of the original emulator... but I really doubt that that will happen any time soon. The last update we (Caanoo, Wiz and gp2x owners) got to Pocketsnes was about a year ago.

There same guy that did the first video of the G16 has done a second one...

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=EYQ8xZG31xk

Seems pretty nice. I wish it had a higher resolution screen, but... heck for $90, it does offer some nice features.

ruffnuts, what handhelds do you own, and when you get your G16 are you willing to do some comparisons for those of us that are still on the fence? =)

EDIT: Also found another forum for Yinlips devices.

http://yinlips-ydpg18-forum.2315615.n4.nabble.com/

Seems to be a lot of information there.

Is it really bad a resolution of 480*272 ? The resolution of the Caanoo is smaller.
Doesn't the device run faster with a smaller screenresolution compared to the YDPG18?

The resolution isn't too bad, and yes it is higher than the Caanoo's 320x240 (minus some for the bezel overlap), I'd just prefer it to be a tad higher for playing SVGA (640x480) games that have been ported to Android, for example some later SCUMMVM compatible games, or something like DinkHD (another DOS game port). Plus, it'd be more usable for everything with a higher resolution screen.

You're right about performance though. The Mali 400 is a good GPU (surprisingly so actually... given how cheaply made most Chinese devices are), but 800x480 would put a far larger strain on the GPU and CPU, even to scale graphics to that size.
