I am looking to buy a relatively cheap emulator system to hold me until I save enough money for the pandora so what would you recomend? Also if you live in the United States can you tell me what you know about the legality of this I believe it is legal to back up games that you own to play but I could be mistaken.

yeah that i what I was thinking about but I want to get a few more opinions before I go and buy it.

Yup, if you rip it yourself it's legal. What's illegal is downloading ROMs from the internet, for example.

Okay then that is good to know hopefully there is a method to rip games that I can use I will just go buy some games on craigslist or something to get them legally.

I have a Wiz and it is great, I'm sorta thinking of selling mine if you want it. Not quite sure yet though.

Has anyone thought of putting together a comparison chart...?

I don't own any of these devices, but even though they get mentioned often here, I'm still unclear as to which is the best choice.

After having to make do with just my Sensation while my Pandora is RMA... I have to say that good comfortable controls would be the number 1 priority.

Depends what you mean by relatively cheap, but both of these systems seem to offer great value for money :

Dingoo A380 as per this thread

Yinlips YDP G18 as per this thread

My advice though would be to save your money & put it towards buying a Pandora, if retro gaming is your thing then there is quite simply no better hand held than Pandora.

oh... thought you were on a tight tight budget ...

original dingoo is like $75

YINLIPS is like almost double $130

the YINLIPS will give you the best performance, the specs are higher than a caanoo... but you will probably see similar performance due to android's bloat and they are roughly the same price. The software library is bigger on android than on the caanoo, also upgrade-ability and support.. battery life sounds to be the same 3-5 hours.... all around if you got the money I'd lean to the YINLIPS. I really want one myself, but I can't justify the price right now because I already have a xperia play.

I own a dingoo and I loved it, by far my favorite handheld for a LONG time so you can't go wrong there either. I guess it all comes down to how much you want to spend

the dingoo looks much better to me for my needs so I will probably get that.

well this is because I can split the price of the emulator with my brother and then later sell it to him when I get the pandora, but there is no way I will do that for the pandora I don't trust him with it he will break it or accidentally damage it I am sure.

Check out this crazy contraption:

Has anyone ever seen one of these?
don't waist your money.... had one... it's a slower verison of the OG dingoo... the system not only lags when buttons are pressed, but only one keypress input at a time so multi-button combos are impossible. The controllers are uncomfortably too small and the OS is garbage....

other than that it's a fun concept

EDIT: thought of a funny catch phrase... the let cool was a let down... bud dum psssh

from what i understand, letcool and gamei are companies/handhelds made by people that were part of dingoo at once point, who all created the dingoo 320. than after that, came the letcool, the dingoo 330, and the gamei 330, all with virtually same OS, and very minor hardware differences
