oh yea, and theirs a fwe GUI converters out now so you dont have to fiddle around with command lines And you can make your own pictures so you dont have to have Hot Shots Golf as your games picture all the time :)

If only there was USB support this firmware would be perfect. It's a pain copying these CD-sized EBOOTs back and forth.

*prays for OE-C*

I realize this is off topic, but could someone do me a favor and tell me real quick what the finest emu's the psp scene has to offer?

I know gpsp is great for GBA, but what about stuff like nes, snes, genesis, neo-geo, etc? Sorry for the bother, but this would be most appreciated

yeah i have enough space, i have a 2gb ms thats been formatted, i left the dxar creator thing running for about an hour, orange light flashing all through out it, then it was at the home screen, i tried to update and it says somethin like invalid dxar file, im currently running 2.71 se-b, its really pissing me off now, best thing to happen to the psp scene for ages and i cant do anything about it, ive tried the easy installer by booster but like i said it freezes at 37%, anyone know if chaos zero has released one yet, ive never had a problem with any of his installers, many thanks for any help, cheers guys

edit: would it be any easier if i downgrede back to 1.5??? although i tried this from 2.71 se and it didnt work, i think i may have fucked my psp up when i started using the custom firmware

All the best emulators can be found right here :)

EDIT: Looking at it I see a few of them are not the latest versions though, but it should give you some names to look up at least.

Using the update maker shouldn't matter which firmware you're on so I suspect it might be the 1.5 or 3.02 eboots at fault.. try grabbing them from a different place. Once you manage to get the dxar made make sure you check its md5 against the one in the readme before you go any further.

both were from psp-hacks.com, how long should it take to make the dxar file? seems like theres no one else i know of whos having my problem so hopefully its just somethin minor im doing wrong, i'll go try firmware from other places, thanks for the help subcon.

Its nothing harder than what you would do on the GP2x / GP32 you just put the a game / emu on your memory stick and boot it from the game menu on the PSP ;)

... After reading the posts following yours, I must    at this statement ...

No don't worry it's not a step in the actual installation. MD5 is a unique code that can be generated from a particular file and is used to check the integrity of copies of the file. The dxar file you need to make to install the firmware should be identical to the one I or anyone else made. Therefore we can check to see if we've made it correctly before risking a bad flash by comparing the md5 of our file against the one written in the readme ("MD5 of DXAR: 5BD5DE55204BB8A407C0187C3DA1040C"). The installation would be a lot easier if this dxar was just included instead of us having to make it but apparently it's illegal to distribute a compiled version.

BTW You can find plenty of free md5 checkers via Google.

So in theory if i knew someone who had succesfully created a dxar file, they could email it me and i could use that???

on the other side of things, maybe my mem stick has had it?? i get the 'checking 1.5 pbp, then extracting and packing 1.5 subset, then extracting and packing 3.02, then nothing.

Seriously its not hard ;)... If you know how to use a GP32 / GP2x you can easilly use a PSP for homebrew :)

Cup, is this what your looking for ?? http://csfreakno1.pytalhost.de/download/OE...ller/index.html

3.02 OE A Easy Installer? Heres the Thread on Maxconsole the maker made about it http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.ph...=3.02+installer

But use at your Own risk, Check the MD5 of the Daxr file thing to make sure its original (It should be as he makes lost of easy installers for the community)
