OK you guys, here's the deal. I've been working on a story idea that can work in a lot of hack-and-slash action while still being exciting story-wise. It has a lot to do with the questioning of what one knows and realization. I don't want to make you guys feel like you're out of the loop, so I'll try and PM all of you guys the completed outline once I make it up. It could take a while (not terribly long), but in the meantime, we have other work to be done.
Due to the limitations of Gigas cutscenes (in showing emotion through sprite animation etc.) we may need someone to draw cutscenes for the Show Image function. Just stills, no animation. I have a friend who's very good at drawing and character design, but if anyone feels that they can do this, I'd rather keep it in the GP32 community, because that's really what this project is about.
Also, we need examples. What has been done with Gigas and what can we do? I'm talking about minigames, cutscenes, battle, anything really. We see all these posts, yet we never actually see anything. SHOW US! Even if you are not part of the project, we'd like to see your work.
If we have any tileset people, we need a really nice medieval village tileset, just so we have something to work with. Both indoor and outdoor if possible.
Also, does anyone know if dialogue and cutscenes are saved in individual files? If they are, then we can have some people transcribe dialogue and cutscenes, which we can organize and distribute beforehand, onto the GP32 and then post it online for all of us working on the game. Otherwise, one person would have to do all of the transcribing AND have the master copy of the game, which could mean trouble if that person disappears or abandons the project.
In any case, thank you all for signing up. Hopefully, we can create a really great RPG for all of our fellow GP32ers to enjoy.
