Well... I officially declare Squidge's MMU Hack for the discovery of the month!

We know it sped up MAME quite a bit (though it hasn't been released yet).

We know it sped up GNGeo by 10 - 20 fps...

Now I read that post from Reesy:

DrMD Running Sonic 3 before patch = 35 fps
DrMD Running Sonic 3 after patch = 62 fps constant

Squidge I think I love you.....
I'm not releasing this version of DrMD until Squidge receives some serious love in his paypal account...

Squidge's Hack is awesome. Truly. It made fullspeed NeoGeo Emulation without overclocking possible. It makes fullspeed Genesis emulation possible without overclocking.
It might also make fullspeed Amiga and SNES Emulation possible...

Therefore, I think the title "Discovery of the month" is the least I can call this!

If you want to donate him for that, head over to his site and check the "Donation Information" under the "Misc" section.

Squidge: You can be sure to receive a nice donation from me within the next days :)

Has it been tried out in Squidge/ReesySnes yet?

Cause Autoframe skip+a possible extra 10 FPS=A new pair o' pants.

I already asked this in the other thread, but will this thing help psx4gp2x and quake2? Someone already said that psx4gp2x just uses the first 32mb of ram, but the hack also speeds up the framebuffer, so it should be possible for those apps to profit of that, too?

If I'm completly off the way, just tell it. I haven't got many programming experience, a Spy Vs. Spy and a Zoop remake in flash and some other small games/apps in flash and visual basic.

Oh, just too say it another time, awesome work squidge, honestly!

As far as I understand it is that everything that is drawing stuff to the screen can profit from it.

and once again, it's a GP2X dev, it's once again Squidge, it's simply

AWESOME!

Just donated £5. Would give more but I'm skint and looking to buy a flat(!!!)
