It seems flatpak gave up on armhf but I see snap on rpi4 has the latest firefox/1.22. But I share the authors concern.
Because I hate upgrading os's (since often they are forced) I have been struggling with obsolete browsers for a long time. That's why I went through the hell of compiling mozilla from source. On macs often the browser is the hair that breaks the camels back and forces you to buy new hardware. Actually I used to run vm's specifically for browsers.
A decent sandbox package manager could keep Pyra usable much longer.
I use flatpack mostly for unfortunately necessary commercial software.
