Psp Homebrew (gbax 2005 Related)

heh yeah I didn't even know if you needed that board or not... but there was a lot of talk floating around recently how they had it working like that, downloading stuff via WiFi... I know pretty much everyone agrees that the DS screens are a bit small and totally wrong resolution for emulation, but ANY emu is a good emu, IMO. Really surprised how quickly that scene is advancing.

About the Zodiac, I thought SNES was fullspeed with sound at like FS 1 or 2? That, in my book, is full speed. FS 1 or 2 is usually not even enough to notice or enough to hurt gameplay at all. About Neo Geo I hadn't seen details on how fast it was, figured older games might have been running at good speeds but really had no idea. You gotta remember, I'm somewhat of a collector, and especially love my handheld systems, so the Zodiac doesn't have to do much to appeal to me... it's one hell of a sleek system, sexy as the PSP IMO or maybe sexier? The casing of the thing is metal which is freakin awesome!

Craigix - btw just wanted to say thanks for answering my questions and providing that info for us.

Don't forget a Zodiac is basically a GP32 @ 193/200Mhz or something in that range, so no, it's not full speed with sound at fs1, although a small number of games are playable like that, most require the sound to be turned off to be playable.

it IS one sexy system, though. if only it weren't so overpriced :D the psp should've had an analog stick like the zodiac's

Actually, a lot of people complained about the Zodiac's Stick ;)

that's one of the reasons I picked the GP over the Zodiac
(not to mention NOT having to pay for emu's)

really?of the games I've played on OS9XGP quite a few have run at really good (not, of course, full) speeds even with sound, and thats just at 156. Is the Zod snes emu less advanced than our own or something?

thinking about it though I've only really tried rpgs! That might explain that!

i will be in gp city soon. gotta save up gp32_console
and the zod stick would suck for 2d games, but would be sweet for 3d platform/racing/blah. you can never have it all :(

well, I thought the GP actually ran SNES pretty good at 200mhz anyways?? So that kind of conflicts as well. At 166mhz when i tried Snes with a couple games it was playable but... not really enjoyable I guess but that was with sound... I figured if I were one of the lucky ones with a GP capable of clocking so high as 200mhz SNES would be near full speed with sound?
