Port Requests

@ptitSeb

Developer on reddit (yiotro) provided some additional information, created a special build for the Pandora and gave an email address for you to contact if you still have questions. According to yiotro it should be possible to get the windows size correct and is willing to assist.
Hope this helps :)

Yeah, well, that's what I tried already.

See the main menu, this is what I get.
The gameplay is not better... (I'll be in vacation and traveling, with no access to my window machine, starting in a couple of hours, so I'll not write to the author now).

Thanks, gave it a try for a few minutes. Works and with some shortcuts in xfce it might even be more or less 'playable'.

I used to own a Pocket PC and was a huge fan of Slay a simple but entertaining turn base strategy game.
Noticed there is an Android clone of this game Antiyoy that is open sourced. https://github.com/yiotro/Antiyoy

Based on post on reddit it seems to be playable on PC, so maybe also on the Pandora?

Review:

[edit] changed reddit link to a more recent version - tried the game on my PC works fine with java -jar antiyoy.jar
I ported some okay-ish python slay-alike to the Pandora, but from the little I've played of Antiyo, it's better than the one i ported

Yes, played it a couple of years ago and although nice for a while (and I certainly appreciate the port), it didn't grab me as much as the original.

Antiyoy is not only better than pyconquer I'd say it is as good as the original. Also a lot of levels are available and still being created.

@ptitSeb during your break I answered one question of the developer of antiyoy on Reddit. i don't think it really helped, but as mentioned the dev is willing to assist.
If you like me to check or ask something on reddit please let me know.

@b_o_b : if it's the "fullscreen" switch, I already tried, and I already told you it doesn't work. Try yourself on a desktop PC and you'll see what I meant.

hey there people! I noticed residualVM has been receiving lots of updates recently and now supports monkey island 4 completely, also myst 3. @konqithedragon any chance for an update of the pnd? don't know if MI4 is feasible on the pandora (software renderer?)...

also don't know if the maintainer still frequents these boards. :(

Thank you! So, if I understood it well, the first thing to be ported is the language, then, the software programmed on that language, am I right? (Sorry, I don't want to bother you. It is only that I am pretty noobish on this kind of things but I want to keep learning stuff :p).
This engine is programmed in GO, so you need a compiler for it. GCC comes with a go compiler (gccgo) but this engine doesn't seems compatible with it. The reference GO compiler is the one from google, but I haven't built it on the Pandora (and I have no idea how to buit it, nor the pre-requisite for it, not even if it can support the Pandora, i.e., Softfloat Arm Linux...).

@ptitSeb : I could be wrong though... I thought /mnt/utmp/codeblocks/usr/bin/go was just a symlink to /mnt/utmp/codeblocks/usr/bin/gccgo but that's actually not the case. Your gccgo binary appears to be working just fine :) Would you know what this "go" binary really does ?

Cheers, Magic Sam
