Due to spare time limits on next weeks, I decided to release this version AS IS.

Platforms supported: Wiz, Caanoo & GP2X

I've not any place to upload files, this forum doesn't allow me to upload more than 1Gb per post, so I published it in here:

Please mirror these files or upload to openhandhelds. Thanks a lot.

Yay, this version is quite a lot faster than the last. Thanks bitrider.

One minor quibble is that the diagonal tearing is still quite prominent on Wiz, could that be fixed as in Picodrive?

When I load Pocketsnes, the menu shows up, but my Caanoo makes a static hissing sound. Is this normal behavior?

Quick fix upload, I forgot to use -r (recursive) switch with "zip" so some files where lost.

Please use this new release (executables are the same ones):

Please upload again to openhandhelds (the three versions please).

Regards.

Full speed Super Mario Kart? I love you

Thanks bitrider!

I tried Super Mario Kart with PocketSNES fast, it works well, but the FPS slows down when there are many objects on screen (from a maximum of 45 fps to a minimum of 23 fps).

I set the audio output at 22050 kHz stereo and the Caanoo CPU at 540 MHz.

That was a serious question, by the way. :)

My Caanoo does the same thing. The menu shows, I get a buzzing which the volume slider will not alter, and the unit locks up.
I'm running firmware 1.5 What are you running mmielke? I may need to upgrade.

EDIT: I can start the compatible version from the Explorer.

fantasic thanks bitrider, is MKII working now?

For some reason Mortal Kombat 2 only works in v6.4.5. Works in both fast and compatible modes with 'audio hack disabled'. I could never get it to work in later versions of Pocketsnes. I even ran a save file copied from v6 in to v7, and it would let me have 1 fight and then crash on the 'opponent tree'. I leave v6 on my memory card just for this game.
