Payback

ahh i was wondering what happend to you and your news about this :D

hopefully he did get a publisher,if not, suggest to him selling it on JoyGP or on his site himself

Who cares what gamepark says? Who listens to anything they say anymore anyways? (EUROPE LAUNCH! INTERNET PLAY! FLASH PLAYER!) Riiiiiiiight.... <_< (About the biatching about pinball dreams)

Anyways, This game looks absoloutely AWESOME, I'd gladly fork over 30+ dollars for a quality game like this if it was published.

Ok, so far neither shibuya or entware got back to him, which means that they are lazy companies! Should I also tell him about Virgin since they are launching it in europe? Im sure GTA is popular there so he could sell as many copys as there are GP32s being made (20 000). I didnt originally tell him because of I didnt think Virgin was going to follow through with the Euro release, but umm, maybe they will now. Anyways, has anyone got the demo for Amiga or Mac? Howabout you post some feedback because my emulating of the amiga was way too slow to bear.

50k may seem like a lot of money, but Apex are a small firm to risk say a couple of months development for the GP32 without the chance of release could be very bad for them.

I have played the Amiga version and it`s pretty good.

The Amiga version requires much higher than a standard Amiga 500 or 1200, a basic Amiga 4000 wouldnt be able to run it either.

This game will not emulate properly through WinUAE due to the specs of the Amigas involved, unfortunately.

The best bet to play the demo is to find someone with a Mac, as finding someone with an upgraded Amiga would probably be harder.

Also I would gladly pay for this game if it came out on the GP32.

I understand Apex's side but 50000 is way to much money for a handheld with only (about) 20000 systems sold. The average GP32 game at Lik-Sang is 30-35$. That way you would have to sell about 2500 copies of the game before you make the 50000 and have the games boxed (10-15$ for a SMC, booklet and packaging?). You could save on cards and packaging by selling at JoyGP but those games sell for less money.

That means that 1 out of every 8 GamePark owners will have to buy the game assuming GamePark and Lik-Sang (or other distributors) do not mind producing and distributing it without making any money at all. In this example I haven't even included taxes, just to keep things simple.

Its like the chicken and the egg syndrome.

Why bother developing commercial software for a console when there are not enough users.

But then why will people buy the system wihout good software being available - mind you the amount of people who actually bought a GP32 for commercial software is pretty low.

I wonder how much he would liscense out the code for.
