Pandora wiki open for business. You can help.

My answer is now, as it was then, to check out http://pandorawiki.org/Special:Log/delete where you can see details of what was deleted and where it moved to.

http://boards.openpandora.org/topic/12474-pandora-wiki-cleanup-in-progress/page-6#entry272941 still holds true.

As of late it was down to deleting things that had value, meaning the last ones left on the chopping block, i've within that timeframe learnt to adopt the suggested way of doing deletions.

Copying anything copyrightable without attribution i dont think happened, however this is a fdl requirement, and i have also apologized for that oversight. Mediawiki is very lackluster when it comes to merging pages.

If there are any errors unaccounted for beforehand, relating to actual content, that someone feels unsure about, feel free to ask me about it and i will happily provide all details.

As of yet that hasn't happened. Other people can answer to their own deletions, but at least at the time it was a ongoing discussion of which similarly nobody seemed to be much interested in.

Read the thread or provide examples.

I dont think the wiki is a very good place to maintain a huge database, nor do i think the older ones were set up with much foresight, and in retrospect that particular one fell out of fashion with the repo taking over being the reason why.

Maybe it was the maintenance, or both. Apart from the compatibility, the information you are after exists elsewhere.

Im guessing http://pandorawiki.org/Emulator_List is what you are talking about. Of which http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=all&subcat=Emulator&s=new is the equivalent.

Going with what is now the established mantra of the wiki, no duplicating what can be done better elsewhere, therefore direct critique here http://boards.openpandora.org/topic/14597-feedback-on-repoopenpandoraorg/

Or maybe join the discussion here: http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php/topic/13046-collaborative-emulator-compatibility-lists/

Or submit it as a request to http://boards.openpandora.org/topic/8601-pndmanager/

We need an entry for PND-manager. That makes the whole "dip toe in, nothing bites"-experience much more pleasant. Software well deserving of some highlight.

Edit: Also pandorawiki.org/Hardware_documentation  http://pandorawiki.org/Pandora  could be merged (?)  With hw documentation redirecting to pandora

http://pandorawiki.org/Hardware_Hacking  Need all mods documented here. Adding reading lights, swapping caseparts for silver/black combo, wifi mods, etc.

Work is being done on http://pandorawiki.org/%C3%85ngstr%C3%B6m

aTc is on build instructions for the image, and http://pandorawiki.org/Kernel_build_instructions should be merged there, as its specific to ångström

Edit: http://pandorawiki.org/Special:UserRights

Assigning "mergehistory" to Admins or bureaucrats i think is what it takes to get around the lackluster merge non-system. By default that isnt assigned to anyone.

I edited the main page to add the software project section, but "GUI" is now not in line :/.

Can't see what's wrong there.

I dont understand why changing the language settings in the control panel has no bearing on content.
Yes sorry, docs were unclear till recently: you have to enable $wgTranslatePageTranslationULS.

The translation system adds the /languagecode. I wish there was a &lang=** that could be used to toggle language, like there is with mobile view.
With the above setting, &setlang=$CODE will work for content/translated pages as well (it's set by the UniversalLanguageSelector, but can also be done manually).

I still can't create a new translation.
Currently only your 6 administrators can mark pages for translation but I see some translations happening, is all ok now? Ah, no, I just reproduced the error, it's because of the captcha but Translate itself works. Do you really need captcha on every edit when you already gate registration with QuestyCaptcha, which is so effective? I'd say no, at most you need captcha on link addition to catch 99.95 % of botspam. If you want to keep the captcha for everything, the only solution is to add translators to some trusted group and grant the group "skipcaptcha" permission.
