Even if it does run, it's going to suck in one way or another. It could be the fact that you can't control anything, because the programmer didn't plan on having it use this console's button configuration, or it could be that the specifications on this system are not compatible in some way.
Oh God, why do I have to read such inepsies. It will have a touchscreen, which makes up for the mouse, a keyboard, and it'll run on X. Kind of like, mmmh let me think... your average PC under Ubuntu?
Any more inepsies to add?
How can you be so certain that this will run ubuntu or debian ARM? Are you helping in the creation of this device? Probably not, which makes you just as unsuspecting as I. I really doubt they will use a current linux distro as an OS for this system. I would love if that happens, but there is just no real evidence of Craigix saying that they will use one. Think about it, a good version of ubuntu takes around 2-4GB of space. So, unless this console has 4GB of memory built-in, I don't see that happening. There is, however, the possibility of using XBUNTU. But that would still need around 2GB of space. There is no easy way of installing these OS's. Where did you hear that this is going to be fully compatible with a current distro?
