Backward Compabilitie isnt a big problem, as it dostnt need 2 Screens for DS Games,
They also could put the 2 DS Screens on the 1 Screen of the Switch,
The same like on the Pandora, or the 2DS,

That would mean consumers are playing games in a different way than they where intended(2 screens side by side, or top over bottom). That would also mean they would be taking an idea that is used in an emulator, and that would be a HUGE no, no for them. May it happen, sure, but unless they pull that holier than thou stick out of their asses, don't count on that.

What I don't really get is why Nintendo would be so secretive about it. Refusing to answer the question sounds like what they'd do if they don't want that aspect to sag the reveal hype.

Isn't heat one of the big limiting factors for devices like N.Switch, NVidia Shields, etc?I'm honestly not really very surprised. Housing a second set of processing hardware + DRAM in the dock was pretty much out of the question, and I think people were overestimating how much the dock could really improve the thermal situation. Plus developers really don't want a console that has two different performance targets.

If the GPU is beefy enough to drive HD resolution TV (and that's a big if) then the other limitations are battery and heat. Battery is not a problem when docked due to power supply. Only the heat issue is left (which is compounded if charging battery, since that generates heat as well).
I was thinking more of a air output vent on the dock which aligns with a corresponding air duct on the Switch device itself. Think laptop cooling pads but more tightly integrated (and hopefully not as noisy). The heatsink on the device would need to be really good though, to transfer heat efficiently at the higher CFM the dock would provide.If the Switch and/or the dock are plastic they're not going to transfer heat to an active cooling solution too efficiently,, and the dock doesn't look very thick or well vented. Plus Nintendo says outright that the main function of the dock is to provide TV out and power input. This may be a matter of priority, but I think if it were providing some kind of cooling that would also be listed as a primary feature.

The dimensions of this are much larger in order to afford a significantly larger battery, not to mention it's got backup batteries in the controllers when they're docked: controllers don't need a lot of energy, but they have a lot of room for excess batteries. I think you are making an unfair estimate. The 3DS's battery is tiny, just a quarter of what the Pandora has, and even though it will have a much higher consumption it also has potential for a significantly larger battery.As far as battery goes, it will be 2-3 hours at best, as they have old tech that is the N3DS and it barely gets 4-5 hours on a charge.
They've got both Unreal and Unity on board instead of a custom API. Controls are pretty much standard. They've opted for cartridges instead of disks which means faster, potentially zero, load time. There's nothing "revolutionary" being sold that developers need to pander to (like a second screen or motion controls) that might make them shy away. There is no way this can be the Wii U all over again because the situation to start with is completely different. The Wii U chugged along as it did because of a number of key mistakes Nintendo made, which so far they've not repeated.I just want good games

You may be right, battery life could suck, but it wouldn't be for the reasoning you're supplying.
