So I'm looking for a program that uses internet traffic somehow (not a stupid button clicker macro thingy) that is above all *small* and functional*
*For Windoze, of course.

I am downloading a large file with bittorrent. So the stupid dialup keeps logging off "due to inactivity" while I'm asleep and can't do anything about it.

Well if you want to keep a connection alive, try using a simple ping in a dos prompt. Ping google like this:

ping www.google.co.uk -t

or

ping 66.249.93.104 -t

That should ping once a second until you stop it with CTRL + C. This should make sure the IP stack is sending and receiving data and therefore keep the connection live. Also it's built into your IP stack so you don't need to download anything, and a ping is a very small packet, so it shouldn't upset your download.

Get DSL. Cheaper, quicker, more convenient...

I can´t believe anyone´s still on dialup.

I live out in the middle of nowhere, so DSL is not an option. :( To make matters worse, this line averages 2.6kbps.

Anyway the download is done, so I deal with that problem next time it bugs me. *urgh*

Theres no activity if everybody on the torrent logs off (it happens). I already explained in another thread why I can't get broadband (even satelite)

It can happen when a torrent isn't very popular. Oh and the problems solved anyway. I wouldn't mind if a MOD closed this damn thread.

Onspeed is a "web accelerator" and doesn't actually increase your download speed/latency, it only makes pages load a little faster by caching, compressing, prefetching, and ad filtering the page before it gets to your computer. It is a proxy. See Web accelerator - Wikipedia for more information (onspeed is mentioned).
