well seen as your not going to be adding anything else, you might as well
also, if Nero refuses to burn a image, try ImgBurn
The points are small but as long as you have a 15watt fine tipped iron and take your time you / he will be fine... Im guessing you also got some 30awg Kynar wire as well?? First of all I would get a old computer part and start practicing soldering onto similar points on that first before you start. Strip about 0.5mm from the wire and add a little solder and wipe some flux over the pads on the board. Touch the pad you are going to solder for about 1 second with the iron to warm it up. Now rest the wire ontop of the pad, get the iron and touch the top of the wire and press down for about 1 - 2 seconds, take the iron off and hold the wire untill the solder sets. repeat for the others...
Also, what I did at first was connect all the wires to the Wii first. use about 10cm or so for each connecting, Wire is cheap so dont worry about wasting it.... Plus you dont need to have to wires neat / just long enough as you can tuck the wires away, I just made mine neat as I have never done a neat install before
hehe.
pictures probably make the points look alot bigger than they actaully are

Plus, were you amazed at how Small the WiiKey is???
PS if you think modding a Wii looks hard, wait to you see what needs done to install a Chip in a PS2
thats when things start getting hard (eg can you see them black chips with all them legs around them at each side... If I remember correctly when I was installing a MEssiah 2 Pro in my PS2 I had to solder 5 wires in a row to legs like that plus the solder point were even smaller than wii ones
