No I can't enjoy fictional books, however I can enjoy non fiction and auto biographies. As I have little imagination they are just words on a page to me. However I do a truckload of reading but it is in the form of technical documents/white papers.I don't actually know exactly what this thread is about, but...
You sound like Homo Faber (man in a terrible book I should have but didn't actually read. We watched (as in, were physically present) a film of it though). To be honest I don't get it and I dont think I ever would no matter how much it was explained to me. I don't see how somehing created in my imagintion could be a fulfulling prospect. However I am logically hard wired and have very little imagination but I do find it curious that it is even possible.

Can you even enjoy fictional books like that?
(I consider myself to be a strict logician, plan to study mathematics, but still absolute love good fictional books. At home I'm surrounded by them, lots of them. I'm reading one at the very moment, was just browsing the forum for a second when I was interrupted anyways)
It must suck to play video games or watch films and television. Hell, half the history documentaries (and a few others) I watch include reenacted depictions of events, or people that are using tools/weapons/clothes/whatever from the period. Sometimes I notice the inaccuracies, but I still enjoy them. Those dealing with many of the sciences have a lot of computer generated depictions as well.No I can't enjoy fictional books, however I can enjoy non fiction and auto biographies. It's interesting because I am not sure if my environment forged me the way I am or I was born like this. Probably a mixture of both.
You gave me the basic idea for what the answer might be, it'll do i guess, thanks. ^_^It's difficult to explain because I don't really know why I love her, I just do. I find her attractive of course + she fits my type and I think she's a excellent singer, but as to any further reasons than that I'm drawing a blank atm. Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer btw.
No doesn't suck at all. Video games are challenges and well just because I lack an imagination doesn't mean I can't enjoy a show, I really like Game of Thrones. I guess if you have seen Dexter it is a bit like that minus the serial killer part. I found that show particularly interesting. The thing is I am really good at seeing through people and lies as because I have a hard time reading and empathising with people I have to look at motives so I never take anything at face value. It must suck to play video games or watch films and television. Not my property. They don't mind if we plant stuff, though. (Although lately the owner has been killing off a lot of the trees and stuff, and otherwise damaging things. We used to have a bunch of animals that lived around the house, but since the places they were living have been removed or disrupted most of them are gone. We have asked a few times if they would stop doing certain things, but...)Put up a fence?
I would, but it would most likely be ignored, stolen or smashed. The people that walk on it also throw trash on it, including full bags with stuff left from their trips to fast food places and convenience stores around the corner.Or better, how about a "please dont walk on the grass, it has feels" -sign
Game of Thrones is pretty good. I can't remember if it is one of the ones that irritates me at times by having a bunch of stuff I don't care about (sex, politics, scheming, etc, sometimes all at the same time) during an episode, with only 5 or 10 minutes worth of actual good story or people dying in many episodes. I think it might be. The Walking Dead does stuff like this sometimes also, and it gets boring, but I still like the shows. No doesn't suck at all. Ok the whole point of fiction books is to build up worlds. Now can you imagine reading a fiction book and being unable to visualize anything? It is just a pointless exercise and boring. As for being like Dexter "minus the serial killer part", many characters in GoT kill many people (or have their followers and dragons do it, a bit like a fantasy female version of Charles Manson), but I kinda see what you mean, a little.
Back to books, they are like this except many of them don't show you pictures. They may describe them, though. Many authors I like explain things in detail.
I imagine that would be boring. If no fiction author does the job for you could comics and such work?Ok the whole point of fiction books is to build up worlds. Now can you imagine reading a fiction book and being unable to visualize anything? It is just a pointless exercise and boring.
I am trying to push clouds at you. Please don't let it rain today, then I can get some outside photos of Miku at long last.
It's not that they don't do their job it's that I am unable. Comic's I find pretty dull as well, you really need a bit of an imagination for them as well.I imagine that would be boring.
