Maximum Overclock?

250 is the max my MK2 will go. Emu's that set the default for 266 (Hu6280) would not run right off the bat...until of course I lowered the CPU.

I purchased mine in March - meaning it is a Second Edition... and I can reach 285, and 290 crashes.

I have a first ED. I can clock up to 300 Mhz stable. 'tis a tradeoff. My speakers won't turn off when I plug my headphones in. I don't want to solder. Karma sucks...

By the way, is "speedtest" overclocking both ARM processors or only one (main)?

The second isn't really used at this point for a multitude of reasons...Therefore, when we speak of overclocking, we generally mean the main processor...

I'm not sure there's really an option. As in: if you overclock one, you're overclocking them both.

Which gets me thinking... aren't you really OCing the whole MMSP2 chip? Which overclocks ALL the inner workings?

Yeah, you could be right. I'm not sure though. It's SoC, so it's implying that even though the different components are on the same chip, they run independently of each other. I'm not sure... Let's wait for an expert to come by and tell us...

Right around 175, mabey a bit less

Edit: Ok alot less. I ran a speed check and got 175, but I actually tried overclocking in an emulator and got alot less. I got about 155 in Mame2x stably.
