Of course  It´s a very famous game,at least for me.imhotep said:You'd probably like Snow Bros., Rivroner. Have you tried it?
Gee these games are almost a genre unto themselves. :lol:slaanesh said:Don Doko Don is another games similar to Tumble Pop, Snow Brothers, Bubble Bobble etc.
Very nice. Quirky and cute.Rivroner said:¿Have you tried Liquid Kids? Runs very well in GP2X Mame and is a very fun game:
Thanks so much!slaanesh said:I'll have a look at Rygar too.
Rivroner will be thrilled. Is it common for sounds fixed in one game to impact on another? Choplifter is pretty fun. I used to play it a bit on the C64 back in the day.slaanesh said:I've fixed Wonder Boy in Monster Land now. The graphics and sound are now good. As a neat side effect, it's cleaned up some sounds in Choplifter.
If it's IREM shmups we're requesting, I'd like to add in my request for both R-Types. Oh, and Outrun would be just lovelyRivroner said:In The Hunt

Tumble Pop i sworking now, it is in the list but has no sound.slaanesh said:Tumble Pop and Wardner should be doable. I'm doing the fixes for Wonder Boy and Monsterland at the moment. WBML is actually quite a neat game, was playing it for a bit.

slaanesh said:Oh yes, I've also added tilemapping code to MAME; this was introduced in MAME 0.35 and is useful for adding new games that rely on this approach to rendering graphics. As a bonus, it's sometimes a little bit faster.
Wow, that's great news! I remember a while back, I looked into backporting a driver for Pandora's Palace (a favorite of mine, if you like Donkey Kong, give it a try!), but its use of tilemaps threw a big monkeywrench into the gears. Hopefully, tilemap support would make more driver backports possible!

It depends on the nature of the fix. Some drivers are shared amongst multiple games. Wonderboy in Monsterland and Choplifter use the same hardware and hence the same driver, so a fix in one can make a difference in the other.imhotep said:Rivroner will be thrilled. Yes, correct and well spotted... Fixed as well...Ze_ro said:I think there's something wrong with the sound in Berzerk...

Ah yes, I remember this game. I'll see if it will go in tonight.
I want to send off the source code changes to Franxis tomorrow so that he can release a new version.
