Lets Raid Bbc

a news story about a small band of plucky inventors "doin' it on their own"... heck When I say it that way it sounds like they might actually be able to sell it to Adam Sandler as a script for a movie

Fantastic. Incredible. I must have it.

Go to channel 5,do the gadget show?

That would be brillant
but i think click is more suitable (should also get on the bbc website as an article, which is worldwide)

i personally hate click, reporting is bad
gadget show however is too apple dominated, and is now becoming way too repetitive (it also isnt serious)

gadget show would get you more pub, but i just cant see it happening, maybe it will though (for this you will need 'stock')

click, however is more suited to the niche

the big problem i see is
we dont have 'much' games other than emus at the moment (this wont go down well)

Batch 2 is starting preorders at the end of this month

anyway if we ever do decide to mass email a show, best too

make a multi choice poll, of reasons why it should be showed

each person picks 3 or so of these to talk about, after each person has sent the email the choose what they said
this stops emails being identical, and makes it seem more casual than a community getting together

we will also include on the poll the days in which we sent the email, so we get up to say 100 each day for 2 weeks or something (once again, more casual)

there was another section i was going to add, but i forget what it was

Perhaps we could insert a Y2K like bug into the firmware that causes every Pandora to automatically creates a Twitter account and start using the hashtag #Pandora... Just a thought.
That would be spamming. :p Also it would very likely be signing people up against their will to a service they probably don't want to use.

I think it'd be pretty cool if we could somehow get ingame tracking via Raptr. That would accomplish a couple things. For starters, it would certainly boost our popularity.
I have to question this. My first thought when I read this was "What the hell is "Raptr"?". :p I somehow doubt I'm the only one who will have that reaction - how can something obscure like this boost popularity?

I was kidding about the whole Twitter thing!

With regard to Raptr, I'm thinking of using it as more of a testing ground than an advertisement campaign. If we can get it on the Pandora, perhaps we can have an achievements system, stat tracking, and before I get too carried away with new ideas does anybody think doing that might be rather cool? I'm very sorry but I'm having difficulty formulating my thoughts. I'll try to post later when I'm a bit more coherent. Nonetheless, does anybody have a good idea of what I'm getting at?
And even though Raptr isn't very mainstream (at all!) it does have many users.

Raptr
sounds good, however is 3rd party achievements possible
even then, youll have people making easy game and getting achievements, whos going to be the moderator

It would also waste resource

however i would like something like this (integrated forum), for startup
but then hotspots, arnt so hot in many countries, including mine :(

What happened to the dangerously descriptive tag line of bombing the BBC?

I just wasted a ton of bio-diesel, soap and orange juice! (j/k)

I love the idea of the interview. Craig could impress with his choice of hat and bizarre interview location.

Seriously though, an interview would help to put focus on the massive achievements OPT have made in getting this far. How many of us want the Pandora instead of those glossy touch screen fashion boxes? There are good and valid reasons for this, (mine is a love for pushing buttons) .

With the BBC it just seems like they have to contact you. It's very difficult to speak to anyone at the BBC.

We just have to make the Pandora the best hand held console ever made and they will have to speak to us.

Tried contacting TheReg about a week ago but got no reaction. Wonder why they ask their readers to send stories when the don't give a damn about something that should be 100% TheReg-content. (ok it does not explode and has no giant laser but still...)

I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear they email me about the icontrolpad... but when I mention the Pandora to them they never answer my emails.

You should have called it iPandora right from the start. And a shiny case. Call the colour "Reflective dark matter" that sounds mysterious. Of course you also need a Steve in your team. Microsoft has one, Apple has (or had) even 2. Coincidence? I doubt that. How could you think to succeed without even a Stefanie?

I don't really understand why people like scratches and fingerprints but it seems, modern tech has to have it. Probably so you can buy some wrap that makes it more bulky, ugly and harder to use, but saves the lovely shiny thingy underneath (you just know it's there somewhere).

I bet they would anwser instantly if you would be Apple and it's about iPhone iPad iWhatever... ^^""

AFAIK, ED was in contact with the german "Spiegel Online". But they didn't release a Interview yet. BUT you can read huge Apple reviews, Interviews and everything about i-stuff every day there. :(
Oh, and Spiegel don't make a secret about using mainly Apple products in their Offices. ;)

Ha, exactly. I bet it was because of the relationship to an Apple Product. :)

As soon as I get my Pandora, I'll provide a picture why the iPandora perfectly fits to every iPhone. Soon it will be a nice, shiny, multitouch UMTS-iModem just like it was made for the Pandora. Bit bulky but does the job.
