Same here. In fact, if possible, I think a full set of tests should be run on the final pre-prod prototype, in order to:Are there any lingering issues/concerns then that are preventing 25+/- of these getting ordered to do a final pre-production prototype run on? The idea of having a major board revision go directly into 'mass production' makes me nervous.
- Ensure there aren't any issues that were missed and might cause a post-production disaster, and
- Give potential buyers an exact idea (represented in hard numbers) of the product that they're buying. I think there's immense value in releasing test results from a release candidate (final pre-prod) prototype. These tests could include some generic CPU and GPU benchmarks, DAC and amp measurements, RAM tests, a full set of disk benchmarks on the eMMC, etc. NotebookCheck does a pretty good job of this in their reviews, it would be a valuable resource if ED's interested in doing something like this.
