yeah they declared bankruptcy that site is correct although lookin here http://ultimateconsoledatabase.com/portabl...ame_park_32.htm

im not sure the gp32 can do all those things :S anyone know if thats true ?

Second you can watch Dvix movies on it. Imagine waiting in line to get your driver's license renewed and watching Matrix Reloaded on your GP32.

does the gp32 play divx ?

The divx bit is true, it's the 'all the development software for this machine is free and open source' bit that's an urban myth. The GP32 source was leaked, not opened.

ah thanks for clearing that up : )

i was actually lookin for a gp32 when i found out about the gp2x, i found one on ebay (gp32) and looked for some specs and what it could do but had no luck.

This has to be one the most over-hyped descriptions I've ever read about the GP32.

Realistically it can't do DivX. You're limited to 128MB - that's the largest media card. I'd like to see a reasonably quality DivX movie encoded to that size. :-/

Gameboy Advance emulator? That doesn't actually play anything.

Commercial games?

PDA capabilities?

I love the GP32 but this is NOT what it's about.

The best thing about it are the homebrew games, ports and emulators and it does all this really well!

divx play back was decent, you could fit most things on it at 'reasonable' quality, but the GP2x = awesome for movies

the GP32 was like an amazing handheld, I loved mine, even after the front light died, and even after my joystick died, now I just use it for decharging my batts after they run out in the gp2x, but there were some quality emus for the gp32 (f-series, still dieing for f-day)

I'm quite fond of the GP32's commercial games. They're unique and fun if you give them a try.

Anyway, I wouldn't call the XGP cancelled. But I wouldn't call it not cancelled either. Apparently the GPKiDS is still on the way under a different company. So maybe we'll see the XGP and the XGPmini in the future (though they probably won't be called XGP).

I'd love to... if I could get my hands on them! Where can I get them?

I'm especially keen on shooters so would love to try Tomak!

I remember there being a "complete GP32 game colleciton" auction on eBay some time ago but it went for like US$500! I was gob smacked!

Anyone want to sell GP32 games? Must be complete in little boxes...

try here http://www.gametronics.se/default.aspx

found it mentioned over on a gp2x torrent website, search for GP32 and you get quite a list.. though they also recon to be selling GP32's... may be worth emailing them first.

I've sent them an email - I'll see what they say! I'll try and post their reply.
