Whether you are listing your games down or displaying them onto your shelf...most people put their games in order, which is why I'm curious to know what kind of order do you have them...

As for me, I would list my games (I'm using my PS Vita games as an example) the same way I would have them on my a shelf, Alphabetically. Mind you, it's somewhat in an unorthodox Alphabetical manner due to words like "The" or "LEGO", which you'll notice in the spoiler below.

Anyhoot~ How do you guy/girls organize/arrange your games?

Please vote in the poll. :)

Random Google image below...I hope his/her house doesn't burn down (I don't want anyone to get hurt of course), as insurance won't be able to cover or fully compensate for RARE/Hard-to-Find, expensive ass games...

I could write an eternal essay on how games get organized here, but I think it is too chaotic to bother and it changes completely now and then.

I put them where they fit.  If they are in a case that is needed for protective reasons I will usually put them somewhere with others that are in a case of similar size (think optical discs here).  I used to toss the cases and shove them all in a CD case, so I have a few cd cases full of games.  The cd cases and carts usually get shoved in a cabinet in such a way that they don't  fall down or take up too much space.  I guess I fall into "Other".  As usual.

In short, my old consoles lie in boxes with some games strewn about, only my xbox 360 collection is extensive, and all of these games are simply piled awkwardly on a shelf.

I have many ways to organize, my computer, for example but in this case, I organize them by it's console/computer.

Good choices! You're not 1D like me.
I guess not.  As I said, I cram most of them together in a way that they don't get messed up.  They are sorta stacked, so not quite a pile like slaeshjag.  It changes every time I pull a game out.

My option is not available, so I voted "alphabetically", "system" and "other".

1. Shop (GoG.com / HumbleBundle / IndieRoyale / Groupees / Shinyloot etc..)

2. System (Linux / Windows)

3. Alphabetically

My Android folder is outside of those though, since it's not PC.

That sounds like searching, not organizing your existing collection.  Maybe I misunderstood you.

It's the directory structure on my 4tb games drive (and its backup) and that's how they are organized and arranged. oO

I did indeed misunderstand.  I thought you meant you go to the shop, etc., etc.  Your choices sound accurate, or maybe the complex choice.  If you have them all isolated based on shop do you ever end up purchasing the same game more than once by accident, or do you check the list before buying (or maybe you don't have that many games)?

I usually know which games I already have although my DRM-free collection is freaking huge, but I check anyway.

Sometimes I wonder if I should just combine those folders but then I get to know about how some shops get updates that others don't and how some files are more compatible with PlayOnLinux,  third party engines, etc...

How my physical games are arranged : "if it fits, I sits"

How my other games are arranged : "CD Images > Sort by > Name"

How my latest games are arranged : "Downloads > Sort by > Date modified"

I somehow like having no particular order when it's not alphabetically sorted. I like to remember other games when I look for one.

The contents of my SD cards for my Everdrives are arranged alphabetically.  I was going to do it by genre, but it is hard to decide for some, and it would have taken much more time than just throwing everything with A here, everything with B here, etc.

I am not changing my poll selections again.  Deal with it SONY. :p

Edit:  the additional answers would be by console and by A-Z with numbers before A.  There are also some by country, and a few of the most frequently played get pushed to the top (both in my tetris wall, since they are usually put back after I am done with some of them, and on my flash carts, because I am lazy).
