...torch.

I got this neat piggy flashlight from deal extreme, here it is now:

Anyhow, I was messing around with it and i opened it up and all the componenty things fell out. Anyhow, the thing now looks like this:

Anyone know what goes where?

Tell me what to fucking do then, tard.

for a start connect the LED contacts to the terminals of the batteries in a way that when the button is pressed, that the contacts of the LEDs' are pressed against the battery terminals.

Like this:

?

I get nothing...

All of the batteries, or just under one?

Lol, this is so stupid.

Whoop, thanks Vimacs, you teh uber cool.

Sam, shut the fuck up, maybe you read an electronics book once, which technically makes you an electrician, but I live in the real world, where I don't deal with that crap. So shut the fuck up, before I beat the shit into you.

Try flipping the LED's sideways from what you've got (so that one of the legs from each LED is buried under all the batteries). Then you have to put the other leg on top of all the batteries, with a gap between them so when you push the button, the circuit is connected.

EDIT: Oh... looks like you got it. :)

I don't want to be mean or imply that you're stupid, but this is more or less the most basic circuit possible. Even if you don't know how it works, you hardly have a lot of ways to connect two components ;)

Well, you got it in the end, which is good.

(PS: The real world has things like light switches and stuff. *duck*)

Run, bitch. ;)

It was pretty simple in the end, but there were loads of holes, and the lights only light up when turned a certain way, it was confusing. I know the basics on serial, parallel circuts etc, but it's kinda weird when it's all inside a pig. Anyhow, I'd like to hold my hands high and announce that I am not the lord high brains on everything, unlike sam here, who despite his "superior" knowledge only managed to offer one piece of advice, make a connection, WELL DUH!

Yes, you learnt basic circuits in year four, but you've still not learnt how to spell...

Ah well, can't rush these things, eh?
