Hardware differences between 1st and later batches?

the only improvement will be a lower price i guess.

you really think i buy the pandora to play HOMEBREW? come on... evrybody buys this because of the emulators... > 1 emulator = 1000 playable games, 1 homebrew game = well.. 1game! sux!
and if its going to be even more expensive... well good night. there exist good alternatives to the pandora already and the price is at the very limit i think, a little more and nobodys gonna buy it.
bitter? why TF am i bitter? did i say anything bad about the pandora? ive just stated my honest opinion you dam fanboy kid!

i know im buying it for homebrew, next websurfing
and at the very bottom of the list emulation

.............well, have fun with pandora panic, supertux and all that other kindergarden bullshit.
really if i wanna play something as lame as that id just visit newgrounds..... not buy a 300€ device!
i know homebrew is more than games but then why pandora then?

You never know what might come out for it, and one person's "kindergarden bullshit" is another person's great game. Not all homebrew games are quick diversion type games.. there's a pretty decent number of free 3D games for Linux that wouldn't run well on older homebrew gaming devices like GP2X.

Some people are interested in doing new games that other people are interested in. It only really takes a small number to make someone want the device. Since you're interested in emulation I can't imagine your standards are really as high as you make them look, since I'm sure you'll be playing a lot of older 2D games. There have in fact been free games that are competitive with the highest end 8 and 16bit era games, Cave Story for instance.

lol

yeah pandora panic does eem incredibly bad
ive been trying for years to get one of my many projects finished.
truth is, if i feel it not up to standards it would be dumped

im one of those
people [that] are interested in doing new games that other people are interested in

you have to realise whats within you grasp, and you have to predict would you grow tired of it or have regrets later on in development

i have very high standards for homebrew.
i like the new brand of games, im aiming for objectives such as trying to get the gameplay of a 3d fps into a 2d top-down, therefore it becomes an easier more fun play (i always feel 3d requires sitting down)

it also means it can be ported to the iphone/ipod and actually work

ive came up with several gameplans and have got controls etc sorted out. and have started development although slowly

 oh well, since all of you are so kind people and speak in a very mannered tone i apologize for my agressive talking style from before...

sorry for calling you a kid emcp, while im probably one myself.

btw i just stumbled over the http://www.3drealms.com site and they made a game for the iphonetouch: Prey Invasion (looks like theres still SOME life in that company). Look at the screenshots, its looks preety impressive.

example pics:

I could see maybe an upgraded battery, newer battery technology that can create a stronger batter that can fit into existing pandoras, or maybe better quality cases/hinges. But never anything that will effect software.

As Exophase pointed out, one man's drink is another's poison. People do get aggressive on here, and yes, there are fanboys but they're nowhere near as bad as the other handhelds (including the Apple freaks and macwankers out there). You come across exactly the same as anyone else does.

I've been into emulation, written a few emulators, and am thoroughly bored of it now. I want homebrew games and ports of cool things. Hell, I've been writing a retro-development suite for nearly 8 years now. And though I still feel like I'm an 18yo kid, I'm actually twice that now.
