It sound weird to me because it sound strange that they (originally) would rather go with the USB2/MicroUSB combination instead of using a USB3MicroUSB combo > when a USB3 capable port (on the SoC) is there, why not use it from the get go?Yes according to their statement. Not sure whats weird about that, if it were USB 2.0 with a type C connector, that would be weird.
