I just remembered that I hadn't tried "Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time" since a few updates back. Fired it up, and yup - two hours later I can most certainly confirm that you can now proceed past the first battle. Quite far past, actually. This is going to eat all my time, again.   :D

Awesome.

Nice.

@ Exophase,

maybe

if you have some time left

if you feel in the mood

if you get bored with playing Nintendo Ds

maybe

Some little status update please  .

Can someone show me a "pndrun_DraStic.out" after launching ROMs NOT FOUND in the database (Without the Game ID) ? Please

Although it does have some minor problems, to be fair. In certain screens text the graphics depth order gets messed up (most obvious example: The level-up screen, where the level-up bonuses is under the green bars that ought to be behind them), and in one case, in-battle dialogue becomes invisible, and my guess is that the speech bubble gets written on top of the text, rather than the other way around. Rather minor, but I guess that graphics in wrong order is one of those things that might be useful to report?

Yeah I think there are a couple of Z-order issues - this would also explain why some textures in Picross 3D (which I reported earlier) appear inverted (I think they just aren't appearing in the correct order).

Thanks ;)

Is this "Game code: 23232323" some kind of fake number ? maybe the same for all the roms not found ?

It's always taken from the ROM file. This is probably a number someone decided on for homebrew.

Damnit. I've been trying to reproduce a crash with this, but it's evading me. I thought I had it just then - I had a Picross save file I loaded, selected to continue a quick save, and it crashed after less than two seconds with me not touching anything. However, on trying to reproduce the problem it ran fine, and even let me complete the puzzle without crashing.

Seems to me pretty much random when it'll crash. I've had it crash in game, in the level menu, on the home menu, even mid-menu animation. And while it seems to have situations where it'll tend to crash - I've struggled to complete specific puzzles due to it crashing, but eventually it'll always be stable enough to let me finish it.

I don't think it's anything to to it writing a save. It doesn't appear to write a save until you get back to the main menu - as crashes will generally wipe out all progress since you last visited the main menu, but I've had it crash more often elsewhere.

FWIW I'm generally running my 1GHz Pandora at 850MHz, GPU/RAM clock at default.

I've played hours of Picross 3D (completed 173 puzzles so far (3 stars on each)) with DraStic and it's not crashed out once for me. I've used Quick Save on numerous occasions too.

Levi:  Could you tell me the ROM-Title and Game-Code (you can find that by high-lighting the rom in the list and hitting (Y) once or twice.

Once I've confirmed these details I can see what I can do about trying to reproduce it.

It might also be useful to get the md5sum of the ROM.  (in a terminal type md5sum /path/to/rom.nds)  I have encountered a couple of crash bugs went away once I got a clean dump of the ROM.  (I found one like that in Time Hollow)

Cheers!

Well it's a clean dump, so that's a good start. :) not been able to crash it yet...

Any chance you could pm me your backup file for it?

EDIT: also what mode do you play?

Will there be a screen rotation function ?

To play games like Brain Training without using the Pandora like a book...
It depends on whether or not the hardware can do it. If /dev/fb1 can handle it but /dev/fb0 can't it'll end up being a feature that's only useable with a uniform scaling mode. It'd probably be two 480x360 windows which would at least not leave a lot of black space (just 80 columns)

If the overlay hardware can't rotate then I'll probably hold off on this, at least for a while.
Hey Exophase, maybe you were already aware of this, but just to be sure have a look here http://boards.openpandora.org/index.php/topic/12409-invert-screen/#entry233578
