Release DosBox EX - Ultimate

In Theme Park, SimCity and Civilisation mouse (nubs) now behaves like it should. :)

Battle Chess 4000 and Battle Bugs (both SVGA) have no mouse problems anymore too,

these are so great on Pandoras screen, thank you so much!

Hopefully "Drilling Billy" runs too some time, especcially SVGA dos gaming on the go is really beautiful.

Touchscreen is still somewhere else though, but I believe, that's a tough nut.

Edit: Found a way to get touchscreen working properly in stable build with ThemePark and Civilisation,

just fiddled around with LT+F and LT+Enter.

So i think all mousedriven games that was having issues with previous DB EX should be now fixed. That means 99,9% DOS games should be working flawlesly on OP for now. The rest -> 0,1% like Tomb Raider* and Screamer 1/2 will not work so good until you decide to heavily overclock y'r panda.

TIP:

The general idea of usage dosbox ex is to use standard + touchscreen version, but if any of you find some quirks in using it just switch to experimental + nubs version and everything will work..

* who needs a dos version when TR is perfect on PCSX ReArmed :D

Dark Seed seems to work perfectly now! Thank you!!!

So does it mean that we'll never have the ability to have a fullscreen display because of a bug in Notaz' SDL? Or is there still some hope? :)

Notaz is a coding wizard, so he will handle that bug with no problems. Im sure..

At the end of production cycle, the OpenPandora finally reaches it's full potential (regardless the dropped Dreamcast-emu, that never reached pnd-status and will come back at P2).

Since I never played Amiga in my life, the keyboard+nubs-combination was the selling argument for me because of Dosbox and now I have it. :)

This would call for a new promo-video, if ED had more Pandoras than he could sell. ^-^

I just added new option for ripping music from a game [mods/midi] from GUI [Extra Options > Run Modules Ripper] [Donators Edition] for use with [Extra Options > Run Module Jukebox]

I tested it with Ambermoon , and it works..

This option will be available in next version of DB EX

Hello.

I'm not sure if this the right thread is. I hope it.

At first, thank you commander-beef for a great work.

I have a little Problem: DB EX make a 01.bat- and a 02.bat-file after i make the setup for the game in the gui.

If I start the game or the setup (from the game) and I quit it I see the DOSBox Window with the commandline.

If it possible DS EX make an exit at the last line in 01.bat- and 02.bat-file.

I know i can make it self, but after ich go in the DS EX GUI in the game-setup section DS EX change my changes.

I hope you can understand me.

Greets.

if you want quit game instantly, just press:

OpenPandora Left Trigger + OpenPandora Right Trigger + Q

btw. im not adding exit on the end because of debugging purposes [when game dont work as expected]

You should have bin+cue instead of iso [with audiotracks info in cue file]. Automounting these will be included in next week in dosbox ex.
Any suggestions for a program to create bin+cue?

I only got programs for .img/.cue and .iso.

rename file img extension to iso

and

open cue file in notepad and rename .img to .iso in that file

save

and then

rename all files *.iso + *.cue -> 01.iso + 01.cue

that's it..

Oh thanks, I thought it's somewhere on the boards, but the search function is totally f***** up.

Just tried screenshots. It does do something when pressing LT+RT+S, but I cannot find screenshots anywhere.

A minor problem for donators but maybe very big one for regular users:

To get rid of the black borders above and beneath the picture in the otherwise great experimental nub mode (which I use permanently now), I have to set "aspect=true" in donators version advanced options,

after doing it, I get a correct 4:3 picture using the screen the right way, but it does not save that setting and I have to do that every time I start Dosbox Ex.

Is there a way to save that permanently?

Regarding "Drilling Billy": It says, there is not enough memory, hmm.

Disabling EMS and XMS didn't change anything.

May just be a configuration problem with Dosbox.

PS: I'm having fun with Raptor atm, Pandoras standard control setting rocks, because you can change between weapons with the thumb without having to stop shooting with it.

Not now, but i'll try to find best option and update DB EX.

btw.

New version with handy options [the best for those who use usb mouse ]: [in attachment]

Most important new option is directory size, if you wonder how many kb/mb game occupy on your SD CARD

People should upgrade to donator's version to thank you for your work :)
It works both ways. Im sending 'Thank You' by implementing new options/feats for You all that donates to my stuff.

Maybe its me but, for me everything you do counts* and motivates me to work more on DosBox EX, otherwise i would do dosbox ex for myself and dont release DosBox EX to the public. And i think every dev'er or porter needs it from some point if he adds something to OP community, so dont forget add a line or two after new stuff pop ups in repo from various dev'rs or porters. It maybe doesnt count for You, but im sure for dev/porter IT IS IMPORTANT.
