I hadn't tried for quite a while, but am mighty impressed by what I've seen so far.. things like Metroid Prime, MGS Twin Snakes, Eternal Darkness, F-Zero GX etc are running much better for me than they did previously. If you haven't used it for a while or have never tried, I'd urge you to go check it out.

I've heard about the great upgrades but the trailer is bloody awesome.

I never really cared for Dolphin and I still spent 8.5 minutes of my life watching that. Very impressive! Kudos to the devs.

Run will it on Pyra?

Despite the problems concerning their OpenGL requirements (GLES 3) because of integer support they now also dropped support for 32 bit JIT. And with that i don't only mean x86_32 but also armv7.

Can someone tell me where/how to get Dolphin 5 for Linux (64bit)?
Mint 18's standard repo only has v4 and so does the official site.

Too bad there's no support for 32bit WinXP anymore but I'm more interested in 64bit Linux anyway.

Hmm, it says download for Linux, but on the downloads page there's no Linux option for v5. I always keep meaning to try this out, because I miss Mario Strikers, and never found a native PC game like it

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:dolphin-emu/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install dolphin-emu
Worked on my Mint, thanks!

I'm amazed, Dolphin was great already but now it can play whatever GC stuff I throw at it in full HD with widescreen hack and a bit of anti-aliasing and anisotropic filter perfectly on my 7 year old system.
Awesome work!
I'll try some Wii tomorrow.

Your comment made me interested... I have to try this new version! ^_^ (My PC is really not aging well.)

Well, some GC games didn't work as well as the first few I tested and Wii is noticably better but still unplayable.
I tried the Wii portion on the fast system of someone else though and it ran absolutely fantastic, so when I get myself a faster (Linux-)PC some day, I can actually play my Wii games in HD without overclocking, I guess.

Folllowing the suggested links gets me here: https://github.com/Tinob/Ishiiruka

I read that the patches only affect DirectX builds though, and I'd guess it'd be via translation of OpenGL calls we'd be most likely to get a Pyra build.

This is the 'everything else' board though, so even if it never affects the Pyra, it's still good news.
