OK, so now i'm confused..

After emailing Jacquelyn today regarding a premium upgrade, this is the answer i got:

"The cost to upgrade is £171.20

Original cost £199.99, new price £371.19"

_________________________

Premium units $500 = £307

Original price $330 = £203

Where is the extra £67.20 iv'e been quoted coming from?

Seems reasonable since OP gets a quote in GBP and http://www.openpandora.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=97&Itemid=34&lang=en says:

"The cost for a Pandora that is delivered to you within the next 7 days is 500 USD (without VAT) or approx. 440 EUR (including VAT)."

Add to that the quote is very close to 440 EUR according to Google where http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=%C2%A3371.19+in+eur says that UK£ 371.19 = 437.113043 Euros.

The difference for me would be £100, I guess. Tempting. Or it would be if my testicles weren't likely to be removed and fed to my nostrils by my wife.

It sounds like a VAT miscalculation, which is a bad thing if it wasn't caught until now. You should dig out what you originally paid, subtract that from the new price (£310), then add VAT based on the difference, rather than the whole of the new price.

The original price was £200, and I'm presuming you paid the VAT that would have been added at the time, 17.5% since you live in the UK, so you should have paid approximately £235. Therefore you paid for £200 of the £310 premium price, leaving £110 uncovered. £110 with the new 20% VAT would be £132, if you are only required to pay the VAT on the difference between what you already paid and what you have to pay now. If you are required to pay the FULL price of the current VAT, based on the premium price of £310, then the total price is close to £372. Since you already paid £235, that would make the price of the upgrade £137.

tl;dr: If you paid UK VAT on the initial £200 preorder, your price to upgrade should be £132-£137. If for some reason you avoided paying VAT on the preorder, your price to upgrade should be £172.

Note: I do not represent OP Ltd, just trying to help!

I'm living in the USA.

If I paid 239.70 GBP for my Pandora, and shipping is 15 GBP, then I paid ~225 GBP for my Pandora.

If the Pandora is now 310 GBP, then I would owe 85 GBP for an upgrade. So, given the exchange rate, my upgrade would be $139 USD, correct?

I know that technically the Pandora was $330 when I bought it, and is now $500. But, given how much what I paid is worth now (my payment was taken in GBP, not USD...it's reflected in the amount JP Morgan Chase charged me for exchanging forms of currency), shouldn't I really only owe ~$140?
