There was really no summer in French: I live circa 30 km from the French German Border, so I had the same weather as French ^^
Well I suppose we could consider the South of France a separate country, since a fair chunk of it (and Spain) wishes to go independent ;)

Yes, now combine that with Occitania + Catalonia et voilà xD
Off-topic, of course. But now that it's come to that, if the criteria is south of France + independentism don't forget Corsica.

Some more 'news':

One typical remark by DARPA on the project proposal:
While DARPA said the project had "a good running start" since field locations had already been identified, it noted "several weaknesses" within the proposal, including DARPA's "concern that vaccine approaches may lack sufficient epitope coverage to effectively protect against the diverse and evolving quasi species of the many coronaviruses found in the bat caves."

Why do Australians need a "Not Save for Work" minister? (meanwhile, the other minister implements the thing...)

I just running horses. BTW this is only a little bit of Australia.

If true, that's weird. Western governments at the very least are constantly being lobbied by people employed by big pharma, along with big oil, big tech and almost any other sector you can define as 'big'.

Questions would escalate if she stays. Probably afraid of being lynched by the mob later.
This is not a (mostly harmless) "and now we've got an expensive bridge" type of lobbying.
But it seems like she is keeping the money...

So... are you advocating for mandatory smart watches? We can embed them in your arm, or, as you can see in SciFi shows, on the forehead as a beautiful gem.

Ha! No. Lol but I thought it was an interesting development and if they FLOSSed the code then people with FOSS smart watches and phones could also benefit from it, without third parties being necessarily able to snoop on the results.

I just hope there are not many patents involved, because if there are, I do not see a bright future for any FOSS that comes up is whacked down by lawsuits.

I’ve noticed that half of Florida and Louisiana’s counties are back down to orange on the CDC’s COVID-19 county tracker site, but all of North Carolina’s counties are still red. Maybe the sooner Delta hits somewhere, the sooner they get over it? Anyway, hospitalizations are down almost half from their Delta peak here in NC, so it doesn’t feel too bad here.

vaccinating is still, [gratis]
Oh my sweet summerchild, these are paid by us out of the treasury, and 3 more generations down the line they will still be paying for the (for now planned) second booster shot... so work hard, pay income tax, because that will go straight to the Pharmaceutical companies... for a few generations to come. The transport, the cooling, the nurses, the buildings/renting facilities, commercials on tv, signs, brochures, protective clothing, latex handshoes, phonebills, IT infrastucture, car rental and end-of-year bonusses for the bosses...

And the vials and needles are not recycled... so there will be glass, plastic and metal in landfills.
