Corporate games suck.
I already posted that I want commercial games on the GP2X. Developers are not looking around for obscure handhelds to port to so we have to tell them. Let's contact developers and ask if they are interested in GP2X development!
I'll try to maintain a list of contacted developers in this post. If you contact a developer, please post the developer name, the developer's website and the email address you used. Also post if the developer has answered and what the answer was like.
An example email (this is what I sent):

I'll try to maintain a list of contacted developers in this post. If you contact a developer, please post the developer name, the developer's website and the email address you used. Also post if the developer has answered and what the answer was like.
An example email (this is what I sent):
Subject: New gaming handheld for Independent developers: the GP2X
Dear Palm OS & Zodiac developers!
There is a new handheld coming from South Korea and it might be worth
keeping an eye on: The GP2X from Game Park Holdings is designed for
independently developed games and ease of development. It is the
successor of the GP32 which was a commercial disaster at first but
then cracked open by homebrew and emulator developers. The GP32 still
sold a respectable 30000 units and has a great internet community
behind it. The GP2X will be open for everyone from the beginning.
Maybe you have concerns about porting your games to yet another small
platform. The GP2X should be relatively easy to develop for because it
has quite some power, standard hardware and Linux as OS. With a
resolution of 320*240 pixels the necessary graphical changes should
also be limited (and non-existent for games ported already to Pocket
PCs). Also consider that the commitment of a GP2X user is much higher
than that of a Palm user so the possible sales per units sold should
be much higher. And don't you also feel that urge to support a
hardware developer that is pushing independent development?
I hope you at least think about supporting the GP2X.
If you want to know more, check out these websites:
Official: www.gpx2.com
Community: gp32x.de
Distributors: gp2x.co.uk , gp32z.com
People you can contact with questions:
Game Park Holdings: hja@gpx2.com, kyute@gpx2.com
UK distributor (good connections to GPH): Sales@cdworld.co.uk (ask for Craig)
Of course you can also ask me and I will try to find out.
