My friend has just purchased a F200 and is finding that PicoDrive runs very slowly. Other emulators seem fine. The machine is running 4.1.1 firmware.

Anyone else had issues with this?

No, i noticed no problems yet. Which version from PicoDrive? Which game? Perhaps some faulty settings, e.g. clockspeed...

Stephan

Your settings may have some overclock set which your friend's F200 can't handle.

PicoDrive usually slows down instead of crashing when you overclock it too much, because it uses ARM940, which usually can't sustain as much overclocking as 920 can, so 940 dies first. When that happens, the emu waits for ARM940 to respond, but times out after some time and tries to continue, that's why it is still working, but does that very slow.

I never overclock picodrive - mainly because it's such a good emulator that I don't have too :)

Reinstalled it on my friend's F200 and it now works fine. Must have been a little niggle.
