    Treamcast

Wonder how difficult it would be to play "Bangai-o" on that small screen?

    One Station Video

I have been messing with my OneStation now for a few days. I ordered the green one along with several carts. I also ordered the MD converter with three game carts. The MD Converter is sort-of iffy at best. Meaning that you have to have the Converter in the cartridge slot "just right" and...

    One Station Video

Hmmm..... evidently not the same "99 in 1" game cart is packaged with every OneStation. Just got mine and I have a different cart. It does not have Sonic. It is the cart that has Contra Force and Super Contra. edit: Mine is the green system.

    What Is Exactly A Noac?

You would think that there are a lot of the old systems that could be done this way.

The Onestation unit contains only a backlit 2.5 TFT screen, a place for batteries, and a button game pad configuration and nothing else. The CPU, ROM and stuff are built into the game carts. The NES multi carts has a NOAC built-in. The MD converter has a "MD on a chip" contained inside and must...

    Snes Supergfx Chip

If you take a look at wikipedia's SNES info, you will find out that there was more than one supergfx chip that Ninty used in its game carts. SNES Wiki

I just had to make an order. I ordered the Onestation along with the MD converter, a few of the other NES multicarts. I ebayed a couple of the MD carts. I'm a sucker for gadgets and portable game machines. This will make 23 portable game machines that I own.

What Is Everyones Obsession With 2d Shooters About?

After reading this thread thru today, I spent my free time playing ProGear and Gigi Wing on my GP2X. For some reason it motivated the itch. Noiz2sa might be next on my list tonight. edit: I remember playing something on the Amiga. It was a side scroller that had round space...

    What Is Exactly A Noac?

I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to just burn a good emulator to a chip using maybe Linux as the OS. One could rig it to boot the cart on start up. (of course I don't have any idea what I am talking about) Looks like this would be more simple than doing the NOAC thing for these clone systems...

What Is Everyones Obsession With 2d Shooters About?

For me it is a passion. And I cannot explain it. I just love the vertical or horizontal shooter. I can play for five minutes or for hours. I am helplessly addicted to them. Sometimes I like them hard and sometimes I like them easy. My mood will determine if it will be vertical or horizontal. I...

    What Is Exactly A Noac?

I saw the wikipedia thing. I just felt that it really didn't address my question. If it is the proper circuitry then wouldn't it be better than an emulator? And if it is as you say "Orkie" then there seems to be something still lacking in the completion of the cloning of the original system...

    What Is Exactly A Noac?

I am sure that there are people here that can answer a question that has been nagging my brain. What is the difference between a Nintendo on a chip and an Emulator? Is the NOAC just a well built emulator burnt to a chip? I was wondering because I'm thinking that the NES and SNES clone systems...

    New 2x Owner

When you say power hungry, I take it that you are not using the right batteries? They need to be NiMH rechargeable batteries that are made for digital cameras. Mine are 2500 mAh. I get around 4 or more hours from them. Depends on what I am playing. edit: Hooking your unit up to your computer, I...

    Gpfce 0.4

I've been heavily playing NES games now for over a week and a half. I've been using PocketNES on my Gameboy micro. The scaling is better on it than on the SP. I have been playing so much that I have not been on this site, that much, to see what is going on. I go on the site today and...

    Datel Games 'n' Music

Hmmm.... I might consider the R4 from dealextreme.com. I didn't know you could get something like that so cheap. I thought they were usually 60 to 80 USD. And it looks like free shipping. :) Thanks for the info. And the Youtube stuff looked good Miika.

    Datel Games 'n' Music

<_< That is a little disappointing. I thought that for 29 USD from my local Walmart it would be a simple and cheap way to enter the DS homebrew. They made it sound pretty good with being able to drag and drop stuff and make your own games. I sort-of thought some one might have cracked it by now...

Has any one tried this yet. I am about to pick one up. It looks like it could be very good. Datel Games n Music Another link concerning Datel Games n Music Wouldn't mind trying the DS homebrew. :D I was womdering if any emulators work with it. :)
