    Dvd Playback?

Not to be a huge downer or pessimist, but I would really, really suggest getting a real laptop, or at least a netbook. Living on a mobile computer can be very painful, I had to do it for a month or so on my N800 once. With all the gear you are proposing carrying, a small netbook or laptop...

Using A Psp Battery In Gp2X

Outputting RGB from the GP2X is effectively impossible, sadly. I suppose in theory you could translate the digital RGB going into the LCD, but that would be no small task. TV out is much improved on the current releases of Open2X, might want to look into that.

    Pandora Otg Usb Plug

This discussion reminds me of the days of painstakingly pulling apart several miniUSB B connectors to tie pin 4 to 5 so I could use OTG on my N800. This is before OTG adapters were common, and just weeks before the software switch was made. Good times, good times... :D And will we be able...

Those "extra" Units Mentioned In The Newsletter?

Yay, just paid for mine! I am officially part of the first batch! :D It is indeed fun to come back and see all the familiar faces, I kinda left when Chad78 did, I had a pretty similar line of thinking, just not as extreme. Anybody else remember him? :P

Those "extra" Units Mentioned In The Newsletter?

Just got my google invoice! Not paying till I can get back from work later today, but I am almost there! Only about $380 for the Pandora, shipping, and a TV out cable. I remember more than a year ago asking if the TV Out cable was included, and one of the devs assured me that it was... Oh...

What Have You Bought While Waiting For Your Pandora?

Heh, neither, actually. I have a shitty job to pay the few bills I have, but my real hobby is fixing computers and doing custom console mods. When you get good at it and have a reliable customer base, you can rack up a lot of money pretty fast. Here is the real reason, though: A lot of my...

Those "extra" Units Mentioned In The Newsletter?

Can you give me a link saying the have "firmware"? Usually, these are just a few 5k or 10k potentiometers, not sure why they would overcomplicated. If perhaps they actually do have something to manage input between the analog sticks and the board, it will probably be a simple matter of pulling...

Those "extra" Units Mentioned In The Newsletter?

Got a very nice reply the other day, I appear to be in! :D I ordered the Pandora and TV out cable, I am not just waiting on the Google Checkout invoice so I can put in a credit card number. I do hope they have some spare nubs, in my last email, I asked for a few spare, as I run a DIY portable...

Very nice hardware there, exactly the kind of stuff I was hoping to see from the Cortex. Glad the Flash plugin may be of use as well. ;)

How Close To Excellence Are The Emulators Now?

Open2X is a lot better in regards to TV out, at least on my NTSC TV. Not sure about PAL, though. SNES is excellent, but still not quite "there" on some games, mostly ones that use Mode7 or transparencies, and the SuperFX games. Games with special chips are now emulated, so yay for SMRPG and...

Those "extra" Units Mentioned In The Newsletter?

I was originally not planning on pre-ordering the Pandora, mainly due to the lack of completion it showed last October. Things have changed, though, and I am looking to pre-order one. I emailed that email address within hours of getting the newsletter, no reply. Waited more than a full day...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwyaOa48vG4 A buddy of mine did this to his, I might do it to mine. Probably not, as I am hoping for a software fix first, and I mainly use it for GBA, anyhow. :P Fixes the problems with pressing multiple buttons on once! (for the most part)

Wireless Interface To Gaming Rig Pc?

Youtube is slow, coming from far across the series of tubes. A home network, on the other hand, could easily handle several hi-def youtube videos streaming at once. Someone on an N800 forum got VLC doing some sort of streaming at 20fps or so (Only because the N800 sucks at decoding, it could...
