Think on this for a while. Science doesn't understand the power of the human mind. According to science we only use a small portion of our brains so who's to say what the other bits are for. Maybe Mosch has the answers.

Mosch?

I will continue to believe in Chakra energy as I can raise it at will in seconds and the comments of narrow minded people are not going to change that fact. I also know that a half hour deep trance meditation session can rest you like a full 8 hours sleep. I can't explain it but I do know it's true as I have experienced it for myself.

Two words:
Ockham's razor.

There are enough amazing things in the world without someone thinking about "Chakra". What you talk about is relaxation, and yes, I think it will work wuite nicely, however I wouldn't try to skip sleep and just do the half an hour thing. Mind you, I don't sleep much in the first place.

I can concentrate and do a 150kg bench press. I've done it actually. However, there is no mystic chakra energy in that, no secret meditation technique, it's simple determination. If you seriously believe that you can do a super sayajin power up (or whatever that shit is called), take my advice man, see a doctor. If you have simply found a relaxation technique, good for you, do as you please, but don't confuse simple relaxation with divinity.

Yes and you all have the best proof! Anecdotal evidence!

Nope, it was just an anecdote. Not evidence.
I'm talking about the evidence on the crazy mystical side in general. It's all down to other peoples "experiences" and crazy stories.

Oh yeah, I totally agree...really there's very little proof on either side of the argument which is why I keep my options open. But I do believe there's plenty of things beyond our scientific understanding and you'd be a fool to dismiss this kind of stuff out of hand.

Do you need to concentrate to lift 150kg? Why can't you just lift it.? I'm sure if you describe the process of preparing for the lift it is in fact a simple form of meditation.

While we're on the subject of lifting. Wasn't there a case of a mother lifting a truck off her son? Now if you could do that after concentrating I might begin to see your point.

I don't know bugger all about anime power ups but I do know there is a considerable difference between a relaxation technique and meditation. If you are too narrow minded to accept what a large proportion of the worlds population believes then so be it. I feel sorry for you. Maybe one day you will "see the light"

As for taking your advice why would I need to take the advice of a youngster like yourself. I've had plenty of life experience myself thanks. Maybe when you've had as much you'll respect other peoples beliefs and not make such a fool of yourself on forums. I may consult a doctor though as there are many of them that advocate meditation.

Maybe we should ask those on the forum that do martial arts whether they believe in Chi? I'm sure many do.

Yeah all that scientific evidence and video/photo evidence is non-existent bullshit! It's all just the ramblings of a crazy government branch called "NASA".

<-------- this is what Im thinking at this moment which is the moment in time as which I'm thinking it.

Concentrating can increase strength because the mind imposes limits on the amount of strrength you can put into your arms, in order to stop them destroying themselves. After concentrating it is technically possible to push these boundaries and so be able to lift things you normally couldn't. So when your son is trapped under a van obviously you are going to really really want the strength so the boundaries may be pushed. or something.
