Does anyone know if you can attach the the USB thumb drives and could they work as an alternative form of memory?

Before you could even attach the usb drive you'd have to be able to... plug it in....
For that you'd need an adaptor, since the GP32 uses a special USB plug, and I don't think that adaptor exists....

Then you'd need driver support etc.

Could happen, but proberly won't.

You're also looking at the problem of powering the thing. They take their power from the port, and I dont know if the output voltage on the GP32 one would be enough (if there IS an output voltage!).

Hi,

I don`t want to put a negative on this but, What would be the point. We have a perfectly good SMC slot which i`m sure is alot faster than using the usb port.

What we could probably do with if SMC capacity does not rise above 128MB is a Compact Flash or secure digital converter/adapter if it is at all possible.
