Lik-Sang 2nd Release announcement

It has a summary of all the games you can play on it.
Haha, I like how they mention the GPL issues at the end.
While I find them a bit annoying for jumping so late onto the bandwagon, I think that they did a pretty good job of summing everything up.

I love the way they just pretend there is a second edition to explain away all their shit a few months ago, which boiled down to them just not having placed an order in time.

It is crazy to claim they have a 'Second Edition' in stock though.

They are a bit behind too.

Stella is now fullspeed with sound and an interface.

Tuskenraider's Lynx emu is fullspeed with sound.

besides thermal pads, is there any other difference whatsoever?

or is this a marketing scam?

Come on guys, Lik-Sang ist not that bad. In my opinion their website is quite up to date. Ok, the second edition thing claim a bit strange, but at least their are not showing a white gpx2 on their website. In my opinion Lik-Sang provides useful information for people that do not know the gp2x. This will help to make the device more popular.

I got my gp2x from Craig and I believe that this is the best place for orders in Europe outside Germany (Germans buy from ED), but in the old days I ordered my GP32 Blu from Lik-Sang, I was really happy with the service, fast shipping, professional tracking service, and the best thing was: they have sent me a lot of free stuff: one commercial game (dungeon and guarder), this multiplayer thing, and the gp32 mug.

And they included that skeezix's puzzle game might have touchscreen support in the future
Of course. Didn't you know touchscreen would just be a software patch.

They are talking about stylus support which is already bulit in. You can use a stylus to push the buttons, pick your nose or scratch during the game ;)

Its kind of stupid for people to be eagerly waiting forthis SECOND EDITION, heck you could name it the SECOND COMING!!!

It is very silly to me, mainly because, well, im supposing that it will too also have the same firmware on it as there is now, which is basically crap!

Im fine with my joystick, im fine with the screen because i can tweak it and its early days yet... im not fine with anyone claiming that the first editions are mistakes and the 2nd unit (whateverit is) is going to be superior. Kind of like solid snake and liquid snake really!

Which snake do you think that the first edition gp2x could be? for me, its definately solid snake, because at the moment mine is like a brick. haw haw haw. ;)

I definitely agree with you about the fact that people here should stop bashing Lik-Sang thismuch. Ok,it's very dumb to call the gp2x they're selling Second Edition, because there is no Second Edition. But if GPH didn't fuck thngs up from the very beginning, none of this would have been necessary.

Btw, has anybody bought a gp2x from Lik-Sang? And what was their experience?

Third editions transform into flying ninja monkey robots with eye beams, maybe you should wait for that. They also make the finest tea in Korea, and serve it with toast and jam. It sometimes makes me regret being an early adopter.
They serve Jam??? Damnit I gotta upgrade!

I noticed this: http://www.xbox360.joystiq.com/2006/02/06/...n-now-shipping/

And just had to set them straight on the whole "second edition" thing.

Plus a quick plug for the forum's prefered suppliers :)

NO!

Because simply this whole 2nd edition is crazy!!! So i write down crazy things!

The 2nd edition is not out, and if and when it is, i would expect a time scale between that of the flu and the blu gp32...

Not only that, but i really dont think that much can be done. GPH probably wont go out and buy new insides and outsides for the gp2x 2nd. It states on the official site also that there is no 2nd edition in sight which is radically different from the first edition!! first edition means its got the first edition name on it, simply for the gp fanboys and devs who get the first units upon release (like me!).
The second batch will not have first edition on it, but it will not make any difference apart from the words FIRST EDITION! Apart from maybe a new joystick cap... which of course would be avaliable for ALL gp2xs eventually... there is going to be no difference and i see no reason but to spout what i like about this topic, it is a forum mind!

Im not flaming and im abiding by rules, all im saying is my point of view. Its like people are like waiting for this 2nd edition like jesus is coming!! "nah, im not gonna.. im gonna wait til the 2nd coming, then i will be happy".
But who knows what to expect or when to expect anything! I just think that talking about "when will firmare 10000000000000000000000000000007 come out? and "when will the 2nd edition which hasnt even been announced come out?"

Posting usefulness? what else would you expect from a topic like this... and me for that matter! ;)
