try to dump the *.gfx files on your pc...dumping on the gp2x seems unstable for some people.

good luck
I tried that first before I tried on my GP2X. Didn't work.

I keep getting a copyright message when I try to run Pulstar, which goes something like

WARNING

This rom cartridge is for use with original snk boards only etc etc...

It stays on this message, any ideas on why? all my other games including Metalslug 4 and 5 run fine.

Thanks

the universal bios can get around that.

seach for uni-bios at the usual places. then either edit your config file or use rage2x and select universal for system. you'll wonder why you didn't use it before...

How do I get more credits when using UNIBIOS? The select button seems to pause the game now, rather than make it give me credits.

Your are in home console mode. Push A X and B at the same time when you see the uni-bios logo, and go to the region setup screen, then you can modify the region, and the system type.

hackgrid, stop flooding topics with this stupid question. put it in the help section and be done with it. stop going off-topic.

This version add DrZ80 support. It give a nice boost with sound.
Special thanks to Flubba, Reesy and Franxis for the help :)

Also, this version is compiled with the last version of Paeryn's optimized SDL. And so, Tvout is almost working. It still needs some work since it only work when you use the lastest version of Rage2x.
Thanks pepone, I tryied Blasing Star and did my standard overclock to 225 and it seems a hell of a lot faster now, very nice !

Thanks pepone for what are you doing with this fantastic emu but i experienced some problems, with metal slug 5 the sound is choppy (in the 0.6.10 is almost perfect), i can run neo drift out but in game the graphic is all mismatched; anyway, as you told, the tv out is now supported only via rage2x 0.5.1; i really appreciate your work but i still use the 0.6.10 until you'll fix this problems;
Many thanks

Sorry, sorry, sorry!!!!!!!! It was the raster option, i turned it off and, with the games i mentioned before, everything is ok now. Now i have this emu as i dreamed, i'm very happy; finally i can play neogeo games on my tv that it's really fantastic!!!!!!!!
Many thanks for the great work pepone and co.

I must say I'm very impressed-- a fast Z80 core was this emulator's only real problem aside from hardware scaling still being a bit on the slow side. Games like Metal Slug now run at 100% speed with sound at ~299 MHz. The only remaining lag is lag that existed on the original machine.

May I suggest an emulated M68000 clockrate control so that this could be lessened? (Granted, the ARM920T load would be greater, but at 299 Mhz or so you do get some headroom now that there is a faster Z80 core in place.) Also, with sound disabled, you could get away with a bit more.

In addition, turning DOWN 68000 clock would have little impact on games that don't use it as heavily, such as fighting games, leaving more cycles on the ARM920T for things like scaling which is still pretty slow. (It would help a lot in, for example, Samurai Showdown 4.)

Wow, full speed w/ sound already? Could some people please make a few videos of some games in action?
