Ok sorry for my english is very bad.

Ok is very easy first :

open the folder config and the archive gngeorc it looks for this line

# system type? arcade or home
system arcade

it changes by this line :

system home

now it looks for the unibios bios of razoola, that you can download here: http://unibios.free.fr/download/uni-bios-12.zip

Finally rename the unibios bios to aes-bios.bin With this let to you choose between way arcade or console. If you are mistaken saves of gngeo. does not pass anything single you must erase the name of the file in the folder example kof95.nv

Enjoy----

I have a question..

I come up with a out of memory error message when running Metalslug2.
Is that the graphics problem I hear about?

How can I get it to work...?
I tried using the dumpgfx program in Win xp but I can't get it to work.
thanks all

Hi,

is there anybody interested in update in the romrc file? i updated it with Prehisoric Island 2, and made it work.  :D

First of all make a copy of yours romrc files before modify them because after the change they coud be corrupted. It should be not a problem for the dumpgfx but the emu could not launch any game if the romrc is corrupted. :(

You have to get the crypted and the uncrypted version of the game and put the uncrypted files in the zip of the crypted game.Remove also from the 255-c1.bin to 255-c6.bin in the zip.

Here is a little tip to manage your romrc. (Please not that it don't work with dumpgfx)
Actually, to add a new game, you don't need to edit the romrc file.

First, you have to edit the file "conf/gngeorc" on your sd card and add the folowing line:
romrcdir ./romrc.d
Then create a directory named "romrc.d"
Now, you can put any driver in it, gngeo will detect it at launch.

ie, edit a file preisle2.rc and put the code provided by Herc inside.

It's still important to NOT use notepad! programers notepad is a good alternative.

Hi Pepone,

i tried your tip with the romrc.d directory, once created i can't launch a game anymore from the selector, when i try to run one i have a beautiful black screen.
:(

you still have a romrc in your gngeo directory?
And the romrc entry of romrc is still int the gngeorc?

You can PM me your gngeorc if you want, I'll check it

I've been having problems with all romsets i have, (that are known to work on the compatibility list). They all work in NeoRage, but in gngeo2x i get the invalid romset error "no valid romset found for xxxx". I don't know too much about neogeo/mame emulation, but is there a chance that they have been ripped to recently? (i don't understand the different versions of mame etc..) If so is there any way to fix this, i've tried looking through these threads but haven't found this specific problem effecting all roms.

thanks for any help

sam

By pushing either A or Y, I can get --sound appearing in the rom selector menu but it doesn't seem to disable sound when in game.

I'm confused; I thought this was a Neo CD emulator? Or was that another emulator?

Yup, another emulator. There is a NeoCD emulator and this NEOGEO emulator.

Wow, this scene has really been going in full gear. So, there's an MVS emulator (pepone - gngeo2x), a Neo CD emulator (NK), and a MAME (Franxis - MAME GP2X) emulator that also plays MVS games?

I finally tried this but couldn't get it to work. I started to look through the 26 pages to find the answer but gave up. When I try to load a game it gives a few progress indicators then when the one that comes up that says something like"converting tiles"

It gives an error: Couldn't find bios file ./roms/sp-s2.sp1

What does that mean? What are the names of the bios files that I need? I have a bunch in the roms dir already. It didn't have the list of them in the readme either.

Thanks

These are the BIOS files I have.

000-lo.lo
asia-s3.rom
sfix.sfx
sm1.sm1
sp-e.sp1
sp-j2.rom
sp-s.sp1
sp-s2.sp1
usa_2slt.bin
vs-bios.rom

I do not know if they are all needed, or which ones do what, but with them, the emulator works fine.

The wiki list the needed files:
http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/GnGeo2x

But any neogeo bios from mame should work. You just have to unzip it in the roms directory.

Yes it's a mvs NeoGeo Emu and more the best of the three (it's my own opinion).
you really should have a try whith it.Near all games are full speed @ 249Mhz without sound(some are already fullspeed @200Mhz) and a lot are fullspeed with sound @266Mhz and more.

Pepone,
for you answers:

Yes and yes.

I'll try to PM my Gngeorc later

PS:thanks for your fabulous emu!!!

Antidark i treid your tip,Just great!!But now some games has grafic glitchs or are higly corrupted:
Last Blade 2 Higly Corrupted
Matrimelee little glitchs
KOF 96 Little gliths

Just like the first release of Gngeo 6.6.8 may be you'll have a solution pepone? ;)

the Pepone i tried your tip to leave a game without going back to the selector, the option --no-selector is to used when we compiled the emu or in a script like that:

/mnt/SD/gngeo2x.gpe --no-selector (i'm not sure of the path)

Bye

Herc.

ok, the HOME mode now works! but if i toggle it from arcade to home, i get graphic glitches in all games.
actually its the text thats all messed up.

am i missing something? i tried mslug X, neodrift, neocup98 and magical drop3, all the same problem: text is messed up in home mode. arcade works.
-- edit: ok, neocup has even in arcade a glitch: you dont see grass on the playfield...heh. and neodrift is all messed up even in arcade. the others work in arcade.

to bad i would prefere to play the stuff in home mode. but other than that, great release!!

thanks a lot!
