Firmware 1.1.0 Released On Korean Page

  Still can't upgrade even if I wanted to. My Integral 1GB card with just the firmware update still results in the .img file being deleted and no upgrade. Tried 12 times tonight, each time reformatting the card, I used a built in card reader, an external dazzle card reader and my Epson R300 printer on WinXP SP2 no joys.

The next sd card I wanted to buy was going to be 2GB, I don't want to spend money on a new card just to complete a firmware upgrade. I'll wait and see what develops.

Bummer sounds like your doing it correctly, must mean your sd card is not being detected correctly. I'm using a 128MB one, maybe you could splash out on a 128MB one. They are only a couple of quid now.

Thanks but I'm going to sit this one out like the previous 3 upgrades something better will come along.

Ahhh don't destroy your GP2X's - Just wait for the alternative updater.

Did no one get my newsletter? :(

No Craigix, what newsletter?

Works fine here, The Screen looks better but still not as good as UPLL + 2 with LCD Tweaker (Still alot of scanlines)
.
.

Same results for me ...

You know, I've ben reading about this flickering issue ...I seem to have it, even after the upgrade (when changing from one menu to the other, playing an .MP3), but it clears up completely after using the LCD Tweaker with the above settings.

What gives? I thought a flickering issue was not firmware related (?)

Anyway, the screen looks much sharper and a bit brighter (after applying the LCD Tweaker). I'm disappointed about the TV-out .... so is it only going to be for video play-back? Not emulators or other apps?? :(

I never got your newsletter, and I bought from you, so I guess I was on the list?

Edit: Page 8, and still not front page news lol.

I'm so sorry craig... I updated...

And it was a complete success!!

I'm reloading all my stuff back to the sd now to try it out.

P.S, do I have to reload the SDLs?

TV-out isn't the only thing they added, 2GB card suport allso

I wonder how well the 2GB compatibility is, as of now -even 512/1gb SD Cards of some manufacturers won't work

I sent out a newsletter to everyone who bought a GP2X with lots of info about the system, software, fixes, what not to do etc.

Check your junk mail for gp2x in the topic?

Hmmm... :(

Upgrade worked fine for me.
USB connection now works great, whereas it didn't work at all before with 1.0.1.
However, I now seem to get the scanline problem whereas with 1.0.1 I didn't.
Win some, lose some I guess.

Just updated.... scanlines are exactly the same for me (which is still pretty bad), but I'm having a slightly different flicker problem than everyone else.

My brightness does not flicker when I move the stick, but the odd thing is when I move the stick the scanlines change direction slightly. Is anyone else having this problem?

Worked great here too.

Formatted my card fat32 (windows XP with card reader)
placed just the 6 (or 7) files on the card.
Updating firmware showed up.
Ran the utility

My vertical lines are much much nicer!!!

Sandisk 256MB card

One new bug I have found is that trying to delete files through the Explorer on the GP2X now hangs the device. The file gets deleted, but you cannot get control back.

Edit: Robster's firmware flasher rocks my GP2X world. Finally I can update my firmware.

Nope. All I got was something from K-Rock (A local radio station)

Want me to PM my email?

(I already updated, but I would like to see this newsletter)

Where can i get Robster's firmware flasher that you talk of?

EDIT: just saw it, nevermind.... is the new firmware on the gp2x archive yet? If not, could someone please upload it? We really need to keep everything in one place and this is the place to be....
