Built in TV tuner that works in all NTSC territories...That's why I'm watching that retarded Oreck infomercial if you're able to make it out from the picture :p. Came with a plethora of great shooters too. :D
I see only three good shooters, but good price nonetheless. Infact really good price.

Well done.

They're selling a blue gamegear on ebay, are they rare?

Somewhat. The rarer ones are the red (with some logo on it, cant remember) and another on in pink iirc. Blue is rarer than the black though.

I payed a great price considering this was the only biddable auction. They're all BINs and best offers for ridiculous asking prices.

Well I could have a mint blue one for $50. Does that sound a good deal?

A little expensive. They're just a little bit rarer than the black ones. I see them quite often on ebay, so if you insist on a blue one I'd say just wait until one pops up for cheaper. Possible with games and accessories.

You can throw in a bid of like 15 USD if you want, but don't use the BIN. I'd suggest you grab a red one. they pop up occasionally and are much more of a prize for a collector:

Coca Cola!

That's hot.

It's a real shame that companys don't make special editions of popular consoles like they used to. That would be awesome...

In japan they still do. Special PS2s and DS units are everywhere. The US and Europe....well, [****] us :(

There's been a fair few "special" versions of the GBA SP...

The classic NES ones, the red Mario mushroom ones, the tribal tatooed ones. Not all that imaginative or fun as one shaped like Astro Boy's head or Kirby's shoes or whatever though.

They were all mass produced and easy to come by though. I'm referring to collecting like 100 coke caps and enclosing £150 to get a limited edition game gear or whatever.

lol nooo. There are a couple SP limited editions that I will one day get my hands on. A cheaper model is the Zelda one. I've been looking for that signed by miyamoto ;)

The donkey kong yellow and mario metalic are both quite valuable. The former goes for ~500 USD if you find it on ebay, and the later is closer to 700 USD

What about this one?

Holy shit, hang on a moment DCGM, do you mean the red SP with the Mario "M" on the lid?

Hmm, never seen that gold one. The mario one I was referring to is the 20th anniversary edition with finger-area plated in a metal material. It's modeled after the famicom iirc.

So no, not the red one :p

edit: and no, it's not the cheap plastic-y looking SP famicom model. Those run about 110 USD.
